all you do now is wait for cobb to email you back the updated rom. There usually pretty quick, probably have you up and running by tomorrow.

+1 There's a detailed procedure that you have to follow on their website which is really easy and foolproof. I had the same "problem" (isn't really one, not COBB's fault that BMW has issued so many different software versions) and had the ROM sent to COBB within 30 minutes. Really a piece of cake.

For those that have been experiencing a pause between 3-4k rpm, i have already emailed ROB with multiple logs and he has confirmed that he is working on a fix. It looks like his number 1 priority. Waiting patiently.

What does the pause feel like? Is it a decrease in power?

Not exactly, it's a "lull" in power. It pulls really hard and then it kind of levels off and then it pulls really hard again. Someone described it as similar to "VTEC" and that's actually a pretty accurate description. I've several datalogs where the timing flatlines(doesn't pull timing) at about 5* from ~3.5Krpm-4.5Krpm abd then it starts adding timing and usually climbs to about 11*.
I emailed cobb and they say "some" users experience, not all, and they should have a fix very soone.

It is the number one priority! Once this power band has been smoothed out, we will be having some news maps released. Rob and Jason (our BMW calibrator) and working hard to make these maps as close to perfect as possible.

Can you give us a hint as to what the new maps will be?

Good to hear...

I have the same issues and I thought it was something wrong with the car, boost leak etc...

Looking forward to the new revised maps and Stage 1+ FMIC

just got the stg2 stock throttle map from cobb and damn...this is how its suppose to feel.

cobb says that there is no difference in power between the linear and stock throttle but i beg to differ.

the power is basically ST throw you back in your seat...LT feels like 320 hp 320 torque at the crank.

love the ST stg2...cant wait til i get stg2+

I am debating a Cobb or Dinan Stage 2 .Driving '11 335is DCT 6500 mi . The Dinan st2 is 358 hp 415 ftlbs. Stock 320 hp 340 fthp 370 w/370 ftlbs 7 sec overboost. A gain of 38 hp and 45 ftlbs max at boost.Cobb $900 Dinan $ 1800 or maybe sale at 25% off. Is it worh it Or go with Cobb ? I see nothing but positives posted here . Just what level I II ?, throttle etc Suggestions ?..

There is no difference at WOT, it's just where you feel the boost kick in. On the street, stock is a lot of fun but on the track linear is almost a must. For me, it's almost impossible to modulate the throttle at the track with the stock map as it feels like an on/off switch.

I am a bit jealous of the new "Eco Pro" mode that the new F30 3-series has. It's nothing more than a lazy throttle map but it does reduce fuel consumption significantly. I wonder if people on here would find that a "fuel economy" throttle map would be useful ? The linear throttle map is probably helping over the stock throttle, but how about an even lazier throttle map, for fuel economy reasons ? Could be combined with a leaner running map and reduced torque until 4000RPM for further fuel savings...

Linear feels like that initially because you can modulate the low power better. There is a stock map 0 for more strict change

thats what i thought too but i dont think so...even if i floor it with linear throttle you just dont get that thrust like you do with stock throttle.

now that i have tried both of the throttle maps there is no comparison...there is more power in stock throttle at least it peaks quicker.
