Plasti dipping my wheels, Black vs. Athracite Grey

I plan on plasti dipping my Black 09 E92 335xi. I am debating between Matte Black + Glossifier OR Athracite Grey with Metalizer. Here are two links with the color of what the wheels would look like.

Grey: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...p+wheels+black

Black:http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=679996

Any input would help

I like the gray better. Black is more common also.

I'm leaning more towards Grey as well. Not sure though.. Plus will it stay on going through a car wash?

That stuff is really, really durable. I mean, I'd hand wash for sure but you should have no problems either way.

What style wheels are you dipping?

With those wheels i'm leaning towards black. Gray looked better on the 193s but I'm not sure if it will on those.

I was debating the anthracite on 193m. The link above pushed me over, I am going to do that now. I am not a big fan of black car w black wheels in general. I think I will try it on my winter wheels first to practice, less nooks and crannies then the 193s. Hopefully the anthracite matches the m-sport rear diffuser color.

Go to Home depot or Lowes. You can get the black plastidip there. Start with only one wheel. If you dont like it, peel it off and go with the gray. You will only be out like $8.

Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks but I think Black would probably be better with these wheels

They are style 188 - a quick google search yielded this. He has a gray car but with black 188s, looks like very old plastidip.

I've done black on my rims with the glossifier and I wouldn't do it again. After a few days it gets really dirty and looks a little rusty. I think the anthracite will be a lot better for you appearance wise.

Also, you could always plastidip the rear diffuser the same color as whatever you choose for your rims. It literally takes a couple minutes to remove.

Glossifier gets you up to maybe semi-gloss, whereas the black dip will be a matte finish. That one is up to you. The pics I found were glorifier-free. If you search around, you can find glossified black on other rims.

Do a gray wheel and a black wheel and pick your favorite. It's like $8 per can (wheel). And, upload pictures of the gray and black so we can let you know what we think.
