Hi Guys,

I am trying to connect my S6 to my car (2012 BMW E90) using the genuine USB cable into the USB port in my armrest. I have switched the USB configuration from MTP (that I use for transfering files from my PC) to Audio Source, having said that once I connect to my car the S6 asks me to allow MTP mode which I have to click deny for the next part to happen.

This appears to work temporarily and allows me to play the first song of an album, but if I try and change tracks it cuts off the USB connectivity completely.

Is there a fix for the issue, or am I missing something totally obvious?

Just buy Bluetooth connector with aux cable for around 4 bucks Amazon or eBay. I'll do the trick. Works flawless.

That is an option but seen as it worked briefly I wondered if there was a setting that would allow me to use just the USB, as that would cut down on the number of wires.

why don't use MTP ? it's supported by car too
if you have 2012 MY car you should have combox already for USB function
do you have bluetooth and iDrive ?
