Potential newer BMW tomorrow

I am going to look at a 2011 Space Gray 335i MSport with 17k miles for $32.9k, CPO. Navi, leather, Msport, basically loaded. I have had so many issues with mine, not sure why I want another one, but this newer has all the goodies I don't, and I still love the way this car drives. Seems like a fair price, no?

Nope, N55. Likely not going to tune, so hoping for a little more reliability on this one. Might do a Cobb, but that would be it.

Ah right on man, nothing wrong with keeping it a fairly stock daily driver. Pretty much what I do at the moment.

I wouldn't think it would be worth the $8k - $10k addition to trade for.

Honestly I would look at a 2009 M3 for that kind of money.

However it's your coin.

BTW all E90's have hydraulic steering correct?

Just purchased a 2011 e92 AW 335i M-Sport with only comfort access and 20k miles for 30k. I added a 3rd party extended warranty that put me at that price so I would say it is pretty fair. Just make sure the records are clean and you will definitely have peace of mind.

The only regrets I have are that I should have gotten 6MT or DCT, although Alpina B3 gave me some relief. And everytime I see a 08/09 M3 for sale with under 40k miles for less than $35k I kick myself in the ass.

If you are looking at an e90 you may be able to shave a thousand or two off that asking price.

^You live down in Texas near sea level so that makes sense, but up here where you lose up to 25% of your horsepower due to thin air, I would have rather bought the 335i as well due to forced induction. I like the E92 M3, but they're lazy up here where all engine struggle to breath. And the 335i is more mod-friendly!

My buddy recently went from a N54 to N55 and he actually likes the N55 better. He's in the same camp as you since he's not crazy about tuning (only did grilles and coding) but also on the fence about getting a Cobb. I think he's more in love with the m-sport package though. I don't blame him.

M3 is out of my range, I am picking up 3 years of warranty and 2 years additional payments, and gaining navigation, h/k sound, msport, leather, comfort, et, so it is a nice upgrade for me. Could be my first BMW with iDrive. Kids cost too much money too, so this is my limit.

Good choice, M3 is always a dream but the maintenance for the vehicle can be quite expensive compared to a newer 335. We want more pics if you do end up buying it!

An M3 would be sweet but like you said, you are getting a few years of warranty with the 335 which is smarter from a financial perspective. I made a similar move (09 e92 335 to 11 335i) and I love the N55. I think the exhaust note sounds a lot better.
