No kidding thats a bummer, but i've had my flywheel out of my car before, its a disposable 50 pound piece of metal, 32% would be really nice RPM wise

Has anyone installed one of these yet? I would love to hear how much faster the revs are.

Wouldn't a lighter flywheel drop the RPMs during shifts? Something we dont want... Maybe im wrong.

Not if you keep your right foot down to some degree
Though, weight savings could produce better acceleration

Actually I believe UUC has a lighter flywheel available.

nope, I wish , Lightened flywheels are amazing if you are in-sync with the car really well. You get to alter the RPM's much easier and with a lot more opportunities and necessities. It's definitely a kick ass upgrade.

You lower your engine rotational weight by about 16 lbs with this upgrade, which is a decent portion, In low gear especially where the gearing is set up the total weight of the car is near 300lbs on the pistons or something like that for the e92. Basically you are lowing direct weight from the pistons, its on the engine.

I doubt labor's included. Anyone else notice that labor is 6.9 hrs for the 335i and 7.6 for the 335xi?

I dont like flywheel rattle though, had an AA flywheel in my e36 M3 it made a lot of noise, but it made the car rev so much quicker... Downs shifts really benefitted bc of that

I agree about the chatter.
I hate it, but at least Dinan is using a dual mass flywheel instead of the single mass.
Single mass flywheels are really loud.

Please note the mass of the Dinan flywheel has NOT been reduced by 32%

If you read the literature it says "The Dinan flywheel has been lightened for a substantial 32% reduction in rotational inertia"

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moment_of_inertia
