S55 AMG v. Procede 135i

I was pleasantly surprised to pull hard on an s55 AMG tonight. I didn't know too much about them, but I suspected that it would be close and that he would pull away at higher speeds.

So, I'm rushing to my buddies for the fight, and pass the amg on 84 just before the dumbarton bridge. As I slowed down for last stoplight, he raced to get in front of me. I'm thinking, "It's on, yo!" (in reference to a recent video BTW, this is a good place to race, since the traffic is clear in front of you, there are no more turnoffs, and you have excellent vision in every direction.

I'm right behind him as he takes off, and I quickly move over to the middle lane. Immediately, I'm closing the gap from starting from behind him. I passed him at about 130 and walked him to 150ish. Good times.

Well you are pretty heavily modded and of course a much lighter 135i, although I am surprised to hear you walked him at top end speeds where it's stronger hp would kick in. 4300 curb weight is no joke lol with about 500 hp im guessing? I don't think it could match the 400+ 135i with a curb weight of 3300.

Know what your talking about first. Only 2000 and 2001 s55's were N/A. After that, they went to a supercharged v8', hence why i asked if it was a supercharged one. And they actually weigh a few tons.

You won a race against a tank, awesome.

A bridge you say, huh? I wouldn't want to hear of "some bmw driver driving his car off the bridge"....

Hopefully this isn't something you do often, going 130+ on public roads....when there is other traffic...

Considering that John and Jane Q. Public do 80mph across that bridge in whatever P.O.S. that they happen to be driving, 130 is not entirely shocking.

I agree nevertheless, save it for the track.

And this was before the bridge...there's like 1/2 mile of road before the bridge begins.

try an e55
they're much much quicker heh

S55s are family cars where the dad/mom wants either higher prestige or the extra power just to be there....
e55/63s are more for going quick... or c55/c63s

I'm sure you're waiting until a kill physically happens.

Good job, but again, you're racing a tank :P

and im sure you've never put anyones life in danger by speeding, talking on your cell phone, changing lanes drastically without signaling. No one in here needs a second father so stop acting like one.

dont try that against a s600 especially if it is running a tune.

seriously fast regardless of the weight.

a local one ran a 10.9 at the track, full weight s600.

The cool thing about not knowing the stats on every production car out there, is that you're sometimes suprised when you can beat one. (Well, unless you think our cars are always the fastest. In that case, you will sometimes be disapointed).

Good to know the e55 or c55s are quicker If it were, perhaps may post would have included "I conceded at 50mph...that thing is freaking fast!"

Yeah but he is also running 100+ shot of nitrous and actually broke his tranny at MIR last year. I'm figuring you're talking about the gold colored one...

taking the advantage of the above...what you think would be the outcome form a tunned 335i/135i (as the OP) vs C63 ?

The s55 is 469 hp so it probably is only making 380-390whp at best plus it weighs a lot so with the 135 heavily modded and significatly weighing less the 135 will pull that all day. Good kill

amg s55 the s/c ones run low 13's stock at about 105 mph....add a pully and ecu upgrade and the car is a solid mid 12 second car with a 11X mph trap speed. The car is fast. Good Kill!
