I just got the JB4 on mine last week (after 2 years of owning this car). The car has a smooth acceleration. I couldn't be happier with the JB4. I Just ran a 33% E85 mix in it this weekend and WOWZA!!!!!.

I had a procede on my car N55, I like the JB4 much better. Although, it's like comparing apples to oranges.
My 335is ran terrible on the JB4 that's why I was inquiring. Constant fluctuations on WOT at different speeds and RPMs. Couldn't figure it out. Multiple logs and emails to terry as well as others. Finally ditched it and went Cobb protune by PTF. Couldn't be happier now. Maybe my car didn't mesh well with it? I was running the "is" specific setting that burger has gotten rid of recently.

Maybe it was the "IS" specific setting, I'm just running Map 5. They must of gotten rid of it for a reason lol.

I know this has been debated to death, but how do the current IS owners feel about their decision to go with either DCT or manual? I keep going back and forth and don't wanna have any regrets. I am leaning towards DCT because it's good for city driving and it performs very well. I'm just worried I might get bored though.

Power is very linear and sure as hell is fast. It's very livable and i like it. But its still lacks the soul that my m3 provides. But i guess you cant get everything from a non-m car

I've driven manuals for over 30 yrs and the novelty has worn off. The DCT can be as aggressive or docile as you want it to be. It's faster and with 435rwhp and 475 ft/lbs I'm having a very hard time getting bored with it.

Was yours a DCT in manual? Recall reading that the flash tunes perform and play nicer with DCT tranny.

Well, most people know about my with BMS and all the testing we did with the JB4 PnP and ISO for 335is DCT on my car.

Without heavy mods, it was crap. My car runs MUCH better without it. So much so, I believe they have since taken the 335is out of the menu.
In case any of you missed it, here is a small sample. You can check my channel for all other tests that were done for Terry on 95, 97, 100, various E85 Mixes, etc.

Can you guys tell me how the 335is feels on Non-Runflats and stock springs?
How does it compare to previous e9x you had on non runflats.

Thx

DCT hands down. It's what makes this car in my opinion. I've had many manual cars. This DCT blows them all away.

Someone obviously has not seen the true fun and potential of a DCT car. DCT ftw (at least on the IS)

You got that right. I enjoy rowing the gears too but I don't miss it one bit. I have my dirt bikes for that. I also drive into the city for work daily so DCT comes in handy then. But to each his own. People have this thing where it's more macho to drive stick. See any manual race cars anymore?

Exactly. I have a built 2005 Saleen drag car and swore on nothing but a manual. I wish I never invested in the 6 speed. It's fun to drive, fun to rev up at people that think their cars are the shit, but its just too slow compared to the new auto's. My Saleen makes a ton more power than my IS but the pure fact that the DCT shifts instantly and does not lose any boost makes up for the power difference. DCT also makes hitting the twisties so much more pleasurable and a pure blast to drive.

DCT in SPORT/SPORT is hard to beat. You can't shift a manual that fast - I don't care who you are.
With overboost, the car just rows through the gears without any loss in acceleration. Pure sex.
