My 330d

I've been here about a month now but never posted my car up. Its a 07 330d auto m sport with 59k on odometer. My third car, insurance was expensive given my age but totally worth it.

Got it at the start of February. Went to the dealer on Saturday. He had this 07 330d and a 08 one in blue but had 17k more miles. It was cheaper by a good bit but Im not fussed on them in blue so went for the black. Picked it up first thing on Monday morning, they didnt have time to give it a proper clean.

So spent a weekend claying, claeaning, waxing etc. Was happy with the end result.

One of the first mods I did was change the grill from chrome to black and added an M badge.

I then did an interior light conversion. I have since done the rear number plate bulbs as well.

I then fitted aftermarket angel eyes. I think they totally improved the front of the car.

Also done a few other little things:
Wind deflectors
Replaced centre caps as they were bubbling
New dust caps with M logo
Remap
Bought private plate, waiting for it to go currently.

Plans:
Rear tints
19" CSL's or some other alloy
Buy a second key
Maybe respray bonnet
Possibly put on the spoiler I have, its carbon fibre but not great quality so might spray it as well.
Enjoy

I liked the black colour of the car and liked the way you shined it.
Didnt like M badge on front black grill.
What lights are those?
Any feedback on those?

Im aware M badges on here aren't liked, not sure why as the car is an M sport and has the badge on the steering wheel already, so if BMW can put it on so can I.

Makkan, there after market ones from ebay. I got mine second hand although they were unused but a bit cheaper. I made a post about them a while ago but haven't really followed it up. I need to remove them again to fit the motors tbh and maybe install some Phillips diamond visions.

nice car dude.

its just kind of barry boy to put extra badges on, anyone who knows bmws ,knows its an m sport, so theres no need to put extra badges on. Think of it like buying an armani suit, you wouldnt stitch another armani badge on the back.

Another suggestion, take the mudflaps out. They are ruining the look of your car mate.

It is a fair point Trig... But boy are you getting some heat over this. It wud be interesting to see if you stand your ground on this one.

P.s Your car looks in beautiful condition after your detailing session.

Congrats and I wish you both a very happy and joyous relationship.

I know, but I'd probably get Armani cuff-links and wear them as well. It'd be different if I stuck a large M power vinyl across the rear window screen though but the small badge I think makes a nice accessory.

I thought it would be more Barry to remove badges than put them on?

I don't even really notice them. I sort of need them I think with roads over here and helps keep the car clean.

Probably end up with CSL style wheels of some sort. Not doing anything yet as using it as a carrot on a stick to try and persuade myself to complete a dissertation, not really working as of yet.

Which bulbs go into halo rings? or are they not replaceable?
Halo ring light is extremely poor.

I must admit, they aren't that great during the day but at dusk/night they look a lot better.

I'll see if I can remove them to upgrade them, just ordered a pair of Phillips Diamond Visions for the dipped beam.

I've been debating these for a while. Although the sensible thing would be for me to source a set of LCi lights, I do like to be a little different. I've seen some replacements that use CCFL halo's which looks very nice, but they are from Asia and I'm worried about quality and beam pattern.

Fella, great car and good job on the detail and mods.

Except the M badge...your M Sport just doesn't need it. I am sure you have seen the clownage sticky, dont let your car end up on there

+1

I get tempted when I look at deop V2 or the one with Audi like 8 LEDs, but they are not OEM products and most of them will require OEM motor.

Hence ended up having LCI headlights and they are worth of every single penny.

Congrats mate! Keep the M badge unless you're overtly insecure about what others think!

Bonnet respray sound crazy! Looking forward to seeing more pics!

Take that bloody badge off. It's not an M powered car, and note: The M powered cars don't have a badge there either. so you've just crashed through halfords is all you've done there.

Shame as it's otherwise a nice car, and the black grilles / angels are spot on!
