just be sure it has warranty.

it would be a plus if it was a Certified Pre Owned.

We came to do a test drive but there was a guy test driving it.
We waited for a bit
He came back and started working on the paperwork
So we left, thinking it might be sold.
Sale man called back saying it wasnt sold.
The sob wanted 250.00 less than the price lollll
Anyway, while we were there we asked and found down:

It doesnt have warranty
And no CPO either...
Car fax shown 2 owners and it was a leased car
Should i buy or not, guys???

i would never reccomend buying a BMW with zero warranty.

$22K is a helluva price, BUT, i wouldn't buy it for $15K without warranty.

I bought my car from a non-BMW dealership and they told me it was under the original factory warranty so I went through with the purchase. For some odd reason they didn't really have the details but advised I check it out on my own...

I then took it to a BMW dealership to find it was a CPO which made me very happy with my purchase (would have been lovely if it still had the maintenance package though). I somewhat chanced it knowing the high maintenance of these vehicles and doing my own research on known issues. To be honest, like Litos said, I would NOT buy one without some type of warranty...if you really want it, you can always buy a 3rd party warranty after the fact but I don't have much experience with those, but did check into it... wasn't very pricey but adds to your monthly cost. Unless of course you pay it off in full.

Carfax was clean and the HPFP hand not been replaced but when I took it to BMW I had them do the replacement as well as do a thorough checkup and everything came back clean. They also told me what work had been done to the car which was nothing at all major. Guess I got lucky...

In saying all that, be careful/selective and don't rush into something you might regret!

Hope my story helps!

that's exactly what happened to me !!!!!!

bought my car from Joe Meyers Ford last October.

i took it to the dealer @ March to get the fuel pump done and the SA says to me "congratulations, you're the new owner of a Certified Pre-Owned Warranty"

i said "WTH does that mean !?!?"

he looks at me and says "you have warranty til April 2013 or 100K miles"

my car has 44,850 miles on it right now

Any good places in town to get my engine cleaned? On other cars, I have had the engine steam cleaned. Not sure if that is good for BMW or not, but it needs something....

thanks guys...

I didn't want to get water in anything that would cause a problem later.

i've cleaned every vehicle's engine i've owned with high pressure and a soap brush at the nearest car wash, HAHA !!!!

only problem i had was with my integra.

the plugs sit down IN the valve cover - apparently at 23 years old i wasn't "paying attention" with how much water i used and caused a "flood" where my plugs were.

since then, i've never been scared to spray any engine after a nice soap bath with the big ol brush.

just did it today with my SRT8.

opened the hood, grabbed the brush with pink soap spewing out of it, hit the manifold, the intake, the sides of the engine bay, the half covers and the radiator shroud.

after that, i hit it with enough high pressure from the water to clean the soap off, BUT, i used big sweeping sprays. i didn't concentrate on one area.

SRT4, Scion XB, STi, WS6, SRT8 and 335 have all been cleaned the same way
