Am I understanding this SPARE TIRE for E90 --this simple????

Hello!

I am going to ditch those darn runflats for my 325. I have been toying with the idea but on my trip to PA I decided I HATE THE NOISE!!!! Also--who has the money every 18K??? Not me at least!!

A kind fella sent me the link below. Seems simple. Is that it??? I order this tire and a jack....and problem fixed if I switch to regularo tires????

I drive the 325I with the SPORTS package.......

Please give me a "yes---that simple!!!"!!!!!!! I need tires soon...winter is coming.......they are getting a bit bald........

Yep.

Thats all you need, some sort of useable spare tire and a jack/tool set.

The issue is space.

What I do is pop a 16" spare 156 wheel/tire in the trunk for long distances and rely on BMW roadside assist and conti comfortkit/M mobility kit when I'm around town.

Yes, that solution will work.

OK--I prefer to have some sort of "spare" on me in case BMW roadside or my car insurance road side shows up and does not have a tire for me (I would like to get home with a simple "tire change" from the toe guy).......wow. My life has changed.

I dont understand the "tire talk" as far as dementions and numbers you all too around. It is like another language!! All I know is:

Order this:

It will fit in your trunk and take up some room but not all since it is a smaller spare:

No more run-flat noise and changing every 18K for $1500 smackers:

oh---and for anyone else who replies to help a little lady out......

The tire in the pic/web links above is a "smaller" tire right. Smaller than a "regular full sized spare"?....I dont have room in my trunk for all my shopping, the baby stroller, and a full sized spare!!!!

Yes KL2--the issue is SPACE BIG TIME!! If I put a regular sized tire in the trunk---that is that! NO more room! Looking for an actual little "doughnut" temp. tire or a small spare that would only be used to get me home etc. but would need to be removed for every day use......just a temp.

THANKS

Does anybody know if the e46 m3 spare will work on an e90?

BTW, the e60 retrofit is on back order at Tischer.

E46 sure looks good though for what we need!! No idea if it will fit.....Thanks for the Tischer update.....guess I need to decide and order from somewhere.....before my tires are totally-dangerously bald.

BUMP!!!!

you'll need a spacer with an E46 spare.

I ordered the E60 kit from Tischer this morning. The sales guy suggested that the back order was only going to be a few days in case that makes any difference.

I dont know what a spacer is and dont care since I will prob. just go with Tischer E60
(this is the kit that will fit my 325I w/ sport??)...... I'll ask Tischer before purchase! Glad I can give them a purchase. Great reputation.

It is hard for me to pull the trigger for the switch to non-RF's. But $350 a tire for the RF AND needing them every 20,000 miles is deeper than my pockets! OUCH!!!! That is the part that blows. Needing them every time I turn around!!!!

I test fit the E60 spare today. It weighs 28 lbs with jack and stuff - not bad. The front brakes are cleared by about 1-2mm, just enough.

Where did you buy the spare? Tischer is still on backorder.
