How does BMW stay in business?

Let me start by saying I absolutely love my 08 E90 335i and its been a surprising vehicle to many... That being said I was changing my spark plugs last weekend and noticed my #3 cylinder spark plug was soaking wet... Concerned that it may be due to bad rings I complete a compression test on my motor only to come back with 150 PSI +/- 1% across all 6 cylinders. Now that my heart was back to normal I check my injector part numbers... Cylinders 1,3,5 had part # 13537565138-xx They were 1-7. and the other three were 13537585281... Now here is the shitty part. I know the injector on #3 is bad because it is leaking fuel on my plug not to mention Part #13537565138-xx has a no shit recall on it. I call the BMW Seattle service department and they tell me to go pound sand as the car was checked in 2011 with no issues. Last time I checked if you have a part with a recalled part number that fucking part should get replaced. So here is the really fucking neat part. Since I have the old unrevised injectors I can not simply buy a new revised injector @ $214 I have to buy a whole set of 6 because the new injector will not be compatible with 5 of the old. I am royally pissed off and I am at a loss.

Sorry to hear about this. After my first bad experience (really first experience ever on any car that I've own since I did my own work) with BMW Seattle, I'm expecting them to say no on anything/everything. It seems like they are more incline to sell you the car and their "worry free" warranty/maintenance packages then turn around and say nothing is wrong/covered. SMH.

I hope it works out for you man.

Because people like me keeps going there lol.. I need to start looking around for a Indy shop because now that I'm over 100K miles, parts/labor are getting expensive..

But damn though $214 per injector. Pricey..

I also got a quote at 340 for an injector as well.... These injectors better give BJ's before you install them for that price.

Call BMW USA, and your insurance agent. Mercedes did that bullshit when my ML was about to go out of warranty in like a month and scheduled me 5 weeks down because "they were booked solid...and it'd cost $700+ labor for transmission positioning sensors" called Mercedes North America driving back. Within an hour they came to my business, left me a loaner, and told me to come by tomorrow to pick it up. They wanna play games when it's clearly shown they don't do their job, fuck them right back. Didn't even cost me a cent.

try Tony, I always use him and he's been pretty good every time. Also mod friendly unless you come in with a tune. I take it you are under CPO? If buy soaking wet you mean filled with oil, I had that problem and so did my buddy, think he got his headgaskets replaced under CPO.

No warranty what so ever but recalls are not under warranty regardless

Yeah Tony is my SA too. If Tony isn't there you ask for Ben, Tony's partner, another good guy.

sure they are telling you to go f yourself for the same reason your pissed .if you only have 1 or 2 injectors that fall under recall they still would have to replace them all and there saying f that guy were not replacing all new injectors for him. try asking ken who his SA is here in Portland might have better luck since I think he is on the forums .

good luck buddy. I dread the day I have to due this sure it wont be long

BTW if they are under recall then they should change them regardless of your mods!
