I feel slow....

Ok, so I have had the Eisenmann Race Exhaust (sections 1, 2, 3) and PROcede installed for around 3 weeks now.

I first installed the exhaust and rode with that for about a week. The sound I am very pleased with, but I could feel I lost some low-end torque. That was expected.

A week later, my PROcede showed up and that was installed. It took about an hour for it to do make any difference and right now (after almost 1,000 miles) it feels very minimal. I mean, it pulls, but not like ~50hp and ~70tq. The power only comes after 4k rpm. Plus, it only pulls decent with 3/4 throttle, not full. It does not have the 2nd feels like 1st, 3rd feels like 2nd feeling that I keep reading about...

I took a ride in a PROcede and PROcede only 335 auto coupe with paddles before I even ordered my PROcede. The pull was just insane. I couldnt wait to get mine. But mine feels nowhere close. My car is a 6speed...

I PM'd Shiv and asked what program I was sent with and what I should have having the full exhaust. I never got a PM back, but I know what a busy man he is.

I actually had somebody else drive my car while I sat in the passenger seat for the first time tonight just to see if the problem was just in my head. It isn't. Something just doesnt feel right. I even drove my e30 325ix (slow ass pig) for 3 days straight to see if I was just "used" to the power

Anybody in the Charlotte area want to compare cars, or give eachother a few runs against eachother?

Here are my mods before I am asked:
-Full Eisenmann Race
-PROcede
-CDV removal
-6 speed manual w/ OEM short shift knob

I have yet to see a PROcede installation, regardless of map version, that didn't make expected power (assuming proper gas, installation, etc,.). And if you are not throwing any codes, its safe to say that the PROcede is installed properly. And it's easy enough to confirm that you (and whoever else drives your car) only pumps in premium gas. So assuming that the exhaust isn't more restrictive than stock, I'm a bit stumped.

Maybe the best next step would be to just run the car on a dyno just to confirm your seat of the pants impression. If we're lucky, we'll see something obvious.

Thanks for you input Shiv, that was exactly what I was thinking. (if I am not throwing any codes and am using 93 octane, it must be installed correctly) I work for BMW and I had BMW techs install it with your vid playing the whole way through.

I am planning on putting the car on the dyno on Aug 10th or 11th...... I guess that is when the truth comes out... If all is well, I guess I will have to wait for v2 and big turbo to feel anything :X

Booster... you really shouldn't loose any low end torque with a full eisenmann exhaust. If anything you should see some gains down low also. Less backpressure = more power.

Why wait until August 10th to dyno your car???

Find a shop in the area with a Dynojet and in the words of Larry the Cable Guy..."Git R Done" right away.

Right now the only reason I am waiting for the 10th is that a car show is has a dyno day.... If this bothers me further, i'll find another shop faster

Could there be a slight leak in the vacuum lines that wouldn't throw a code yet result in significantly lower power?

Okay, just a thot here, you said you "took a ride", as in, you were the passenger, NOT the driver. Maybe it's just me, but when i'm the passenger the car feels much faster. I can't really tighten up, lean into the pull of the car, or be ready for when the driver (my g/f) stomps on the gas (using your core muscles, heh heh). Same goes for braking, the driver knows much more than i do, therefore, can prepare sooner than i can.

And this "other" person driving your car....have they driven your car before or even a 6spd BMW 335i? That leaves me a bit skeptical.

Hey Terry, any chance a Bov, even though installed correctly, would make your car slower? I installed a Bov and it seems to make my shiet slower. Doesn't pull as hard as it use to.

Yes, I was the passenger, NOT the driver. This was the first time I let somebody else drive my car with me in it.

The "other" driver is my friend and BMW master tech. He drives these cars everyday. He himself even mentioned that it does't pull as hard as another guys 335 (sedan / auto / paddles / PROcede only) that we work with.

Hard to say I am getting used to the power when I have never really felt it to begin with....

it's possible there is s/t wrong with your car. too bad U did not dyno it stock/after exhaust/after procede, but U actually can do it any time.

I'd advice U to take the procede off, inspect the car and dyno it. If everything is OK, then put the procede back again double checking the install process.

Sounds like u r not getting enough boost.

Check the solenoid plug caps to make sure they are on tight.

Check to make sure the vacuum hoses you connected together are connected tightly.

run a boost gauge to determine the boost u r getting.

if all that fails, get a dyno to see the hp/tq as well as the air fuel ratio.

Good luck.

Just go get the thing dynoed asap.
On a dynojet with PROcede v1.45 or 1.47 and exhaust on 93 Octane you should be putting down AT LEAST 340 rwhp and 385-90 rwtq

If it's in that range your car is fine it's just you.

If it's much less, your car is not running up to par.
Make sure they hook up the AFR into the exhaust during the pulls too make sure it's not running to rich or lean.

Again, why wait?

Well, it was just a thought. I think if Shiv, and a group of other people are telling you to get it dyno'd, that's probably what you should do. Hope it gets figured out for ya!

How warm is it where you live? My car feel totally different when it gets hot outside(over 100) and feels just like you describe, like it has switched to a different mode(the oil temp even drops lower then normal to 220-230 pre-oil cooler). When it is 90deg or lower my operating temps run (pre-oil cooler) 240-260 but I have ALOT more power all over the power band.

My car stays around the 240-250 mark all the time.

I live in Charlotte and the temps have been in the 90s for the last few weeks.
