tranmission limp mode

over the past few weeks under hard wot pulls my 4th to 5th gear shift has resulted in my transmission going into limp mode. has anyone had any issues like this or thoughts as to what may be going wrong or how to diagnose this issue? i have an auto and it does this while manually shifting.

i get the orange gear with the ! point that comes up in the dash...

Did you try reaching out to Terry ? If I was to guess based on your setup your transmission is slipping at your power level.

thanks for the response. Not what i wanted to hear, but needed someone to confirm what i was thinking is going on with it...suck!
