Exclamation BMS WW Methanol Kit

So I'm looking to purchase a BMW Methanol Injection Kit w/ JB4 Integration. I'm looking at the WW kit and the 2.2 Gallon Integrated Tank Kit.

I've been giving conflicting information about the WW kit. Some say it is a very safe kit; some say it will eventually cause your car to catch fire, so get the 2.2 gallon kit. Are the WW kits safe? I like them because of the ease of installation, price, the neat feature that you're not going to take up trunk space, and it warns you on the dash when your fluid is low.

What is your opinions? Honestly, I'd like to run the WW kit. But if it really does pose a potential risk, I'll pay the extra cash and buy the integrated tank kit.

Some people have burned their cars with the WW kit, some have not. Decision is yours.

Every WW kit carries a huge risk, I do not think is worth it. There have been many horror stories on here of the methanol leaking/blowing out the cap because of pressure or cornering. Once this happens the heat from the turbos/downpipes ignites the mix, and sets your bay on fire, catching the engine cover on fire quickly. Just buy a trunk mount kit. It's safer, only takes a little bit longer to hook up, and will save you big headaches in the future. Not to mention your pump will last longer not being exposed to engine bay heat.

Well, my decision has been made. Going with the 2.2 gallon integrated kit. Thanks!

After all the negative threads, maybe 3% have experienced an adverse effect. More people have ran the system without issue, but the few have experienced it have made it a viral campaign. Carnival just caught fire, now every ship is thought to catch fire... See the point?

The risk is very real and shouldn't be taken lightly, I switched to a trunk tank just so I could run 100% meth. Methanol has been known to dissolve rubber seals.

If the worst was to happen, you get a check from the insurance company. With warranty being close to out, maybe I will switch back

I am not a fan of the coolmist tank in anyway shape or form...period. It gets air in the lines and I had poor meth flow every other day, couldn't even Dyno my car with it. There nozzles and pump are good...line is great. I went with a devils own and it has been bullet proof...no leaks no air and instant response. I however did go with 4-AN. I do use the coolmist FSB via the jb4.

I would run a tank kit because WW kits can run into priming issue's since the line typically isn't gravity fed to the meth pump unless you mount your pump directly below the WW tank.

Shameless sales pitch:
***buy my BMS kit ...Selling for $100 (pump, wires, meth lines, solenoids, WW pump mounting kit), You just need a controller ($150), and that 2.2G tank ($100) that you can buy directly from BMS.*** The main components have only been pumped approx 5 times since the parts were replaced not too long ago, so it's practically new http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=793727

Either way you go it's a lot of maintenance, checking lines for leakes, corrosion, etc. but trunk is way safer.

I'm debating not running meth at all. Too many risks. I will probably stick with race gas and E85.

After upgrading the fittings to metal my Devils Own kit with a basic 4 quart tank in the trunk was super reliable, mated with an ER CP and 2 meth bung setup. (tial bov).

That is what i recommend to anyone. I also tell everyone to avoid WW kits like the plague.

I think I'm going to hold up on the meth for awhile, as I need to do some more research before jumping into it.

BTW, I have made a few changes to my order! I will be contacting you tomorrow to adjust a few things and get this stuff ordered!

I've always wanted a BOV, but i just don't see how dumping meth vapor to engine bay is a good idea?
