Heated discussions out on Audizine....

http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=148825

May interest you guys out there. I already got CEA3 involved and thanks man for all the support!!

EDIT... This is for reading. I'm not asking for people to head over there to cause trouble...CEA3 has real time experience racing all the cars mentioned, hence why I asked him for his input! PLUS, he knows Audi's well as he had a very fast A4.

I actually read all the comments in that thread but Im not gonna sign up just to back BMW. IMO we've got nothing to prove. They on the other hand, have been making statements like "why dont you do this and see what others say" and "I THINK that an S4 with this and that will beat an 335".

It was a good way to waste some time reading that thread. While some of them are actually pretty open-minded, the rest are just Audi fanboys flaming BMWs. Some of them dont even have a base for their argument thus they started to wonder off. I mean the thread started off as a comparison between an S4 and the 335 and all of a sudden some dude brought up RS4 and compared that to the 335. Then later it quickly became 335 vs Stage 3+ S4s (WTF???).

Oh and this is coming from a guy who thinks the RS4 is one good looking car and would love to have it in his garage (as a 2nd or maybe 3rd car).

I've never thought of any different of an Audi driver or a BMW driver. They are the same "camp" of driver. Obviously a few Audi members over there have personal issues and alot of jealiousy, but why..? They own an Audi, they are remarkable and some of the best cars on the road.

But, they aren't everything. That linked thread was hard to read because of a few AUdi members self love with their own cars. Why hate BMW or their drivers? And blind yourself from a good car as an enthusiast..?

I really wish BMW would re-design their new cars interiors back to the E46 or similiar, because Audi drivers live in style.

Can anyone explain why the Audi interiors are so much better? I've never been in one, but the pictures I've seen haven't exactly shown anything revolutionary.

The feel of it is better. They use use materials that have a good texture to them. Those materials also look a bit smoother (similar to MB and japanese cars).

Just my opinion (i've owned only B7's): Audi interiors are gorgeous and very ergonomic. They have the correct illumination, the correct color scheme, and the right tactile feel. All the buttons are placed in a correct location, and the layout is very intuitive.

I cant personally speak of the BMW interior; however, i will be able to in a month However, when I made the decision to let go of my Audi's and buy a BMW, the main reason why i purchased the BMW was for performance. Interior styling wasn't a huge selling point, and maybe this is BMWs goal? They want to base their vehicle on performance rather than physical appearance.

Having owned both Audis and bimmers, interior preference is subjective

I like both. Audi materials seem more "expensive". The combo of colors and the fit is better in the audis. BMW interiors are very ergonomic. Weirdly enough I like the 3-series interior better than the 5 (too plasticky) or the 7. As far as the audis go the A8 has a fantastic interior, I mean completely different class than any bimmer, the A6 is slightly better than any bimmer and the A4 is so, so (I prefer the 3s interior over the A4s).

good stuff, so they think the OP is retarded over at Audizine too.

most of the arguments by Audi drivers are sound and reasonable, why do you want us to 'gang up' on them by signing up just so we can stroke 335 drivers' ego?

The interior (dashboard, door panels, etc) of our Sienna and Camry are pretty darn smooth. Even though they're realatively inexpensive vehicles, the materials used in them have a good feel/texture/look to them. You gotta admit that MB and Japanese (and Audi of course) really do know how make interiors.

Edit: I was just using the Sienna and Camry as examples. To truly compare apples to apples we must compare the interior of Lexus to those of MB and Audi, which are simply very luxurious.

Okay, maybe i have to prented my G35's interior is smooth in order for me to agree with you
Japanese interiors feel like a few panels and pieces nicely put together. German interiors look like they are all carved in one whole piece

Personally, I think both cars are great. I find it amusing though that many of those guys think the S4 is something really, extra special. It is special, and a step up from their A4 line, but to say that comparing a top of the line BMW 3-series to the S4 is "ridiculous" is very funny.

When I was shopping for the new car, I was looking at the '07 S4 and the '07 335i. The '07 S4 was a great car to drive, but what killed it for me was the $10k price difference. I have no idea where that guy in the other forum can find an S4 optioned out for just $1500 more than an optioned out 335i.

My local Audi dealer had a USED 2007 S4 that they wanted $56k! That was more than MSRP too. Sure, it only had 500 miles, but it was previously registered and thus "used." I told him "get me a $48k deal on that car and I'll buy!" He couldn't do it, saying $54k was the best they could do. Well, my 335i came in at $45k. Once you factor in sales tax at 9.2%, I saved $10k.

But had the price been within $1k, I probably would have bought the S4. All this bashing, fanboi shit on both sides is so old. The 335i is a great car, the Audi S4 is a great car, the M3 is a great car, the RS4 is a great car. Hell, even the Infiniti's and Lexus's are great cars. But some buyers, on all sides, have to justify their purchase decision by deriding others.

We should hold our contempt for the Ford Taurus's of the world. I just drove one last week (business car rental) and it was AWFUL! Doing 80 on the freeway was nerve-racking and very scary (speed limit was 75.) Why ANYONE would buy that piece of shit is beyond me, and it was the best selling car in America at one time!!

They just cannot accept the fact that the 335 is faster than the S4 and the PROcede 335 is faster than the RS4.

It's ok. Who cares?

WOW man.....I'm a retard? I haven't said anything bad about any car.... No one asked you to 'head on over there to start fighting'. The reason I asked CEA3 to jump in was because he has ACTUALLY raced all cars being talked about...My choice of words here maybe bad but i've been very diplomatic about Audi's and BMW's on that forum. I like my BMW, but it's not my life...Anyone who knows me, knows that I don't grow attached to my cars...I enjoy them, sell them and move on...Audi, Porsche, BMW, Toyota.. whatever...I've had my car 3 months and i'm already looking forward to something new... I'd still look at the M3 and am hoping it would come in a 4dr. (My choice)

And you are right.. Most Audi guys are very nice. Most had valid points. The same goes for every brand out there. Just a few that seem to really like to throw salt on a wound...

Cheers guys.

my experience exactly! and thats why I am driving the 335 rather than an s4 (I just got rid of an 01). Even used it was gong to cost me quite a bit more for less performance. Oh, and for even more of a laugh, go rent a mustang! OMG

I bet you what is even more funny is that the fanboys don't even own an Audi. The true S4 owners have nothing to prove, they have a beast of a car and they enjoy driving it, just like we do.
