Exclamation Please help - strange behaviour: Abs,4x4,dtc.... when the car is cold.

Hi
I am a new guy in this forum. Last January I bought my first BMW ,it is a E90 335i xdrive MT with sport pack.
Recently, 3 weeks ago, every time (when it is cold -1 C or less) when I try to unlock my car with a key fob, the lights came up but the doors did not unlock. After some time 5 - 6 clicks the door unlocked but a strange ticking sound came form the fuse box.
Now I have a Abs,4x4,dtc,air bag, brake, check engine lights ,etc . My dealer changed a fuse and told me that the fuse is making this problem but the problem is still there and they charged me $100.
But when I bring a car in the closed garage, where is a normal temperature, and she stays for couple of hours, everything is fine doors opens normally , no ticking ...

Battery seems to be fine (green eye).

I am looking in every single post on different forums buy I can not find any answer.

Here is a video with the problem

Thanks

Just a thought but it could be your batteries cold cranking amps aren't high enough. I have noticed with mine when my battery was low it would pop up every possible alarm like the tires being low on pressure and engine lights galore. Also with our Cold Colorado weather it at times appears my interior lights are dimmer than usual. I would get your battery tested its much cheaper than spending $100 dollars (Free) if you go to an Auto parts store or dealership if they offer the test of course.

Just drive around a little... you'll be fine. When was the battery last changed? I know the car cranks and you have the green eye... but you never said anything about the car battery being registered if it had previously been replaced?

Thanks for your response,
When I drive around for 10-15 minutes than I can lock and unlock doors with the key fob. I don’t think that the battery has ever been changed I bought the car last winter in January. I will take an appointment for next week just to check if there are no other electric problems.
I doubt that my battery is not holding the charge.

Its not the charge Id be worried about but the temperature your battery can handle. Cold Cranking AMPs

Is the battery the original? If so, it must be getting to be close to 4 yrs old. I'd buy a decent charger, especially for winter months. Driving around for 10-15 mins won't help much.

You can try recharging it but remember to disconnect the battery from the car as to not blow any fuses or send any over power to your computer. Hope you figure out your issue.

Unhappy

Last night my battery was plugged on the charger for whole night , and this morning I had a same problem, so the battery is good.
My dealer want at least 1,5 hours to begin to investigate … it hurts when it costs $133 / hour and they are not certain to find the problem in firs 1,5 h.

All your symptoms indicate a power issue, if it isn't the battery, my next guess would be the battery cable by the fuse box, it was recalled in the US, not sure about Canada but your car would fall under the recall here.

You can charge your battery until hell freezes over but the fact is your battery is the number one item that needs replaced. Green eye means nothing. If your battery fully charged isn't 12.6VDC or specific gravity 1.265 it isn't charged. A fully charged battery at 32F had only 65% of its CCA too.
BMWs are VERY sensitive to a battery that isn't fully charged.
Do yourself a favor before blowing all this money on the dealer, replace the battery with a new one, get the codes read by an independent BMW shop in your area and then decided. Also it is not out of the question that the door unlock solenoid is pulling more amps then it should causing issues especially since this is temperature related. However so if your battery temperature related.
#1 guess is it is your battery. What do you have to loose anyway your battery is already on life support...

I doubt that my battery is failing, one of my friends is mechanic and he tested the battery and alternator. He told me that the problem is not my battery or alternator it seems to be a bad ground, but my car is still under the CPO guarantee so he recommends bringing the car to my dealer to check it.
Also he recommended me to try to maintain/charge the battery during the night just to see if the problem will be there in the morning what I did and my problem is still there.

Next thursday I have an appointment; I will keep you guys in touch.

Thanks for your advices.

Problem found and repaired by my dealer :
Junction box was bad. I was so lucky it has been covered under CPO Warranty .
BMW charged for 8 hours of labor to find out and the part (junction box) = around $1600

Thanks guys for your comments and help.
