DBA 5000 and 4000 rotors
I have seen mixed comments here on DBA 4000 (one piece) slotted rotors with some complaints about noise. I already have a pair of front DBA 5000 two piece rotors for the front of my 335 I plan to install in the spring. I like the two piece design to reduce unsprung weight, reduce heat transfer to the wheel bearings, and hopefully improve cooling. My budget would not allow a BBK for the track so the 5000s seemed like an affordable upgrade. The 5000s are decorating my office until spring.
I planned on getting a pair of slotted 4000s for the rear to match the look of the frong but after seeing some negative comments on the 4000s I might get cheaper slotted rotors for the back instead. So if you have used DBA 5000s or 4000s please post your experiences. Thanks! |

Had the 4000's on my E46 M3, I actually had 2 set and both of them warped within 2000kms, they flat out sucked to honest, ended up with BMW rotors and no problems.

I almost got the DBA 5000 rotors, but got the 2-piece alu hat BMW rotors from Z instead for free.

Which application are these from, do you happen to know the weight savings? Seen the 4000's run in the E46 crowd without any really decent reviews. Remeber them being pricey as well. |
