damn, i havent been on for a day and i already became a target..

I dont no if i've a boost leak but dont look like it cuz i did get my peak boost on the guage and car ran strong, so i know that isnt an issue. the power just didnt continue to pull after 5k, accoridng to the shop, cuz my air/fuel ratio was lil rich (to be safe??). it was running a lil rich up top as well when doing my stock run. i got 316 whp last time on the stock run (same dyno) so i've no idea whats up :/ obvoiusly, running rich is a good thing as it's more safe but seeing others getting 360+ with just jb3 and me getting barely 340 is frustrating. i'll try to get the product run 1.22 map (i've beta, but that shouldnt be an issue) then get it dyno again at a diff dyno next time (heard there are multiple dyno days coming up in the next few months)

Nope, JUST got home from snowboarding! Might try to get it done tomorrow with a friend close by. Will hit you up when it's done.

peak boost wont show you a small leak, trust me. If you can do a leak down test like I posted. I found the reason for almost a year of random limp modes and poor high rpm performance when I did mine. It was a teeeeenie tiny leak and when I fixed it my car was happy. Until it got crushed the very next day.

hmm, interesting. do you think boost leak can lead to it running rich? over heating? the fan did work like shit that day.
according to the shop, cuz it was running rich past 5k so power wouldnt go up anymore. weird stuff. i'll try to post my dyno data and graph for you guys to analyze it for me. do you still have a boost leak test thread you posted b4?

I'm not sure how the ECU would react to a small boost leak. If you running overly rich compared to other JB3 users you have to point the finger somewhere else.

I'll find the leak test somewhere...

found it...its actually in the DIY sticky, cool:

ok, i just looked the data CD they burned for me. first of all, they couldnt print nor email so they had to burn it on a CD. now i realize why..cuz you have to run it with this program include in the Cd. problem is i cant upload it to the web to show anyone this is such crap.. i wish i'd went to a normal dyno-jet, woulda made things much easier to compare.

i think im gonna just wait till the next dyno day and dyno it somewhere else to see. i dont no if i'm running rich compare to other JB3 users or not but on this particular dyno, i see my power start flattening and dropping after about 55k rpm which seems a bit early.

Phil - i've yours but i cant load it up.. it's in a CD.

do you remember how many pulls you had? and the #s they gave you (or you saw it yourself)? it's weird because i remember you telling me it put down around 360 or something, but on the only file they gave me that's yours (has your name on it), it shows 337 peak whp. weird. i wonder if those guys were drunk when they were analyzing the data :/ and i asked them to burn me the orignal dyno i had first time but ended up with the one from this past weekend.

btw, all the whp im staing are Dyno Jet #s (this dyno is call superflow, which i heard is a very nice dyno for tuning) and it reads like 3 diff types of whp (SAE, Superflow, and DynoJet).

all i can think of now is - damn it waste of money. shoulda just dyno it at a dyno jet like everyone else and have a normal print out like everyone else so it's easier for comparison and also to load it up online.
Don - i asked them for yours but it's not in the CD : / no idea what da fuck. i did get the one for the M5 - #s were pretty good as i rememberd (426whp).

u no, it's like the more i think the more i'm confused. so im gonna just forget it and go to another dyno that actually uses dyno jet next time. The only thing i got outta this is no one knows what superflow is - and when they said there is only like 3 in the US, i shoulda know no wonder no one heard of it..lol. oh well.. whatever.

and sorry, i didnt get yours. i specifically asked them to give me all the bmw ones but then ended up he just copied mine AGAIN.. lol.

I'll try to see if I can round some people up this weekend to head over to ISP. Dynojet FTW.
