Altec Show-n-Go Retractable Front License Plate
I've been trying to see if there's a nice solution out there for me to mount on the front license plate. I've seen a few the Gominigo (http://www.gominigo.com/NHLPB-main.html) is one and then the Skene Design (http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/index.htm) is another.
I just found this upon searching on youtube however, and seem rather interesting. Have anyone use this yet? or have experience w/ it? Please chime in. Thanks in advance. There's also an electronic version, but I couldn't find that to buy anywhere. Yea, and I'm not sure how strong those are. Like when you are driving over a rough road would that plate be vibrating and hitting the paint you know? so I'm hoping to hear some feedback on this forum.

Interesting idea would be cooler if it was power something you could do from inside the car. Say like after you passed the police and he came out behind you.

I think it's illegal to hide a plate when the car is in motion. so I'd steer clear of an automated version.

NJ you have to have a front plate which I hate. I would put it back up if I saw a cop.

Seems like a nice idea for show cars, but useless for anything else. For those of us in states that require front plates (like mine), I think we might as well just suck it up and keep front plates mounted.

Yea, I understand. I do like taking pics of my car however, and this is just WAY easier to deal w/. I absolutely hate the look of the front plate.

Haha, exactly. Not sure how these will hold up. So no one here have ever tried them?

True ...specially with the red light cameras are popping up all over the place these days (at least in LA). You will not only get a ticket for passing a red light but also one for not having a front license plate. The cameras get you from every angle including the back of the car where your license plate is clearly visible.

not a bad idea. the one from swift looks pretty good in the video.
but for lowered cars, i'd imagine there's a chance of the front plate getting ripped off going into driveway or over a speed bump.

Great! keep us informed. Thanks man. I was going to get it, but I'll be out of the country for a while on a business trip, so I think you'll beat me to this. Good Luck.
