Another JB4 N54 over 400whp

Went to the dyno this morning here in Boyton Beach, FL, with a group of friends and their cars.
Showed up at 8am, it was 73 degress outside, nice morning.
Did 4 pulls, Map 0 for baseline, Map 2, Map 5 and 7.

Mods are:
- JB4 G4
- e85/93 (6 Galons E85, the rest of 93 - Full tank)
- BMS Dual Cone intake
- PLM Downpipes

Pretty happy with the results!
The baseline is a little high but probably due to the downpipes and e85 with stock boost (would probably be in the 280whp range without the DP)

Btw for the guys in FL, I really recommend that place: "Power by the Hour", they have a nice shop (mainly work on Mustangs) with a Dynojet outside and big fans, and very nice guys.

Not bad at all bro! That Stock baseline is about right with current mods on MAP 0. your assumption, 280 whp is what I have seen for a Stock 335i on Dyno Jet @ STD correction factor.

Gear?

EDIT:

just out of curiosity, what was your air supply setup? Did you have hood open with booster fans on Intake and FMIC? without the proper setup, I was getting 160+ IATs between pulls. So I had the tech. give me better fan setup.

Have you run at pbir yet? I've run 12.0's and a couple guys here have run 11.7's. one with a 335is is holding a current record and the other will be breaking the st record soon.

On a full tank 6 gals of e85 works for me lately. Turn auto loop off set to 90 for jb4 and its runs great

Map 0 = completely stock, right? And these numbers are rwhp, correct? Just making sure so I don't confuse myself!

Edit: Ignore me, thread title clearly says "400whp."

Did you give map 5 enough time to adapt? 3 third gear pulls before the dyno?

I'm up in West Palm Beach, I've been to PBIR several times but never ran the car yet. If you are planning on a dyno day, def. go to see those guys they are very good and very nice, we had a great morning there

I usually put 5 gallons of e85 and top off with 93. Yes I drive 200 miles on e85 and map 5 before the dyno. The car is used to e85, I usually do a tank of e85 and 93 then a full tank of 93 to clean up

Here is another one!

Yesterdays run at 1pm 86 degrees on the Same dyno ( Power by the hour)

My Mods are JB4 g5 Iso (18) w/ 5 gallons of E85 topped off with 93. DC's upgraded Intercooler, DP's and full exhaust.\

Anyone in south florida looking for a dyno, these guys are super nice and very cool. Mustang boys but they are gearheads just like us and appreciate cars putting down good power. Talk to them, Ask for Frank.

yes sir thank you...what is most impressive is that anything more than a JB4 DCI and Downpipes is waste of money for the amount of horsepower. Ofcourse upgraded Intercooler is nice for the lower IAT's and the full exhaust for sound and better flow,
but really all you need for good solid and consistent power for N54 is JB4, DCI and Downpipes.

Great numbers. But aren't all of the tunes now running over 400whp with e85 and at least a DCI?
You better watch it. e85 is like crack. You'll find yourself making out the way trips so you can justify stopping at a station that sells it.

Yeah that torque number is insane. Wonder how hard it is to get grip with that kind of torque.

Nice job! Wonder what map 5 first would have turned? My adaptations take at least 5-6 pulls to get max power.

I want to dyno soon, prob map 5, 7 then 0

Btw, getting Dp's in soon and can't wait to see what she'll do in the 1/4 and on the dyno

Great numbers! Just a quick question... Why the large drop in torque on the map 7 run compared to map 5?

thank you, Actually I pass by the station that sells the e85 about once every week, so I fill up there and I also bring a 5 gallon tank to fill up so I could keep in my garage!
