Good day out - met up with some old faces too Thanks to BMW Car mag for organising. Lots of nice cars - turbocharged M3 springs to mind (although wanting to sell it for £40k is a bit ambitious!). Loads of CSLs - must say the induction noise at full chat gave me a semi
Not many red flags, fortunately, although the young 23yr old who had only had his CSL for 3 weeks or so might not be so happy having spanked it completely sideways into the Armco... head airbag went off, complete left side of the car destroyed A lot of good drivers, a lot of knob heads as well, but overall it was very amicable and safe. Glad to say that all us E90post people got home unscathed - no mishaps here fortunately!! As for me, have to say my car went well... brakes are phenomenally good, especially considering I was using normal road pads and not track variants. Was fairly gentle and careful in the first few laps this morning, as not only was it my first time out at Brands, but it was also so cold and greasy - did get a bit crossed up going through Paddock and down the hill, much to the Marshal's disapproving look, but as the day warmed up a degree or two (it was still only 3 degrees mind!) the tyres started sticking, the brakes started to work, and by the afternoon I was really flying. Kept many an M3 honest Thanks to all who came - made it a social event as much as a driving event

Great day had by all (well... all bar the remodelled CSL guy!)
It was the first time I'd taken the M3 on track, it's quite different to other cars i've driven, so was an eye opener... especialy when the tyres were cold! It's a fast car, but still a bit heavy really in the slow corners. I'm going to get the geometry checked, I suspect (and after talking with Nigel at BMSport) it's out and was causing the front tyres to overheat badly. Was nice to put faces to names... sorry I had to leave Steve, but you were queing to go out again and my tyres were shot, so took temptation to do another few laps away and thought best I leave gracefully. All in all a good day, as we all drove home in one piece... and considering Steve's "enthusiastic" entrance to the start finish line and my not quite so impressive exit of Graham Hill bend, it could have ended differently. Oh... one thing did fail today... my Park Distance Control ! It flashed up with a failure, then cleared... but now it's permamently fecked NAZ... I wondered up a couple of times, but you were either on track or off out somewhere. Like the ACS atire mate. Do you have the ACS exhaust? What were your dB readings when tested? Mine was 95dB at 6k. Tone, your 335i fair shifts and I'm very evnvious of your brakes... Hope to catchup with you all again soon. Cheers Paul |

The dude in the black Z4M coupe at my last track day. And a certain black 335d (not carlos)
Dicks didnt move out the way and caused me to brake during bends, because they were going so slow round them. And the prick in the Z4M said afterwards, when i asked him why he didnt move out the way after i flashed him for about 10 laps, he said "i dont move out the way for no one" So fuck him.
