need help for M3 steering wheel with paddle on non-M3

Hi there,

I got M3 steering wheel with paddle shifters and replace it to my car. However, paddle shifters are not working even DS mode is not available to use. Do you guys know I have to do some wire on it? My car is Non-m3, its 2011 335i e90 LCI and has sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. I will be grateful if you let me know.

Check all your connections. No other wiring is needed. Something is not plugged in.

I found from thread, DCT and LCI paddle are different each other. So what I have to do is to make harmless wire with using resistors between paddle and M button. I am not electrical person, so I am thinking to sell it :/

Did your car have paddle shifters before? Which paddles do you have...?

pic 1

Pic2 (with black on paddles?

Pic 1 you need a wiring harness. I got mine from www.motivemods.com for about $100. If it is pic 2, you will still need the harness, but also do the resistor addition to the paddles. I opted for the ones in pic 1 because I didn't want to do the resistor either. Mine work great!

Yes, mine had paddle shifters before which is second pic one. Now I am looking for bmw performance steering wheel with paddle shifters, which has yellow stripe anf since I got this trouble, but I am not sure what paddle shifters performance steering wheel use. If it uses second pic one, I would get one.

Post in your regional section to see if anyone can help you out. It's honestly not hard if you know what you're doing so you might luck out.
