I am not a speedy person or dont drive in highway
I always use local but seems like there are many cops out there I am not a speedy person, but I almost always over about 10 to 15miles what they sign.. so always I am looking forward and nervous while I am driving,.. in case got ticket for that unlucky day.. what is the best radar for me? I am not caring about price upto 450~500. I am looking V1, Bel STI, Escort S2, Escort X50 and Bel RX 65. What is the best radar in my situation? |

I have the rx65 and so far so good. Did not really have a chance to get buted since I got it, but it did warn me a few times correctly. Although a lot of false alarms in Auto mode.
I paid about $210 (shipping included) on EBay for it, brand new. I am not sure if the V1 is worth twice the money? |

The V1 doesn't look like it's been changed in years. Same "arrows" and same design. In a world full of lasers and instant on radar, is it still worth all that money?? Is ANY detector worth that much or provide any significant protection anymore?

radar detectors
I'd still take the V1. It has been updated and now includes the newer instant
radars and can be set to use in europe. Those arrows sure do make it easy to follow your threats. I've more than once would of been caught except for those arrows. The housing is the same. Those with older units (I had one) can send them back and for a very reasonable price get it updated. |

Coming from someone who has had a 8500 X50 and a V1, get the V1..

It has been updated many times since it was first introduced. The same body is kept so old users can upgrade to the new model and keep their body iirc.
