Finally at port of exit this morning. I'm trying to stay positive but this sucks! Do you know how long the shipping part took? Did your's go to Germany first? I hope all this tracking doesn't take away from the joy of starting her up the first time.

the car was sitting at the port of exit since september 9, it shipped out end of october. not sure on the exact date when it shipped out.

I will post up pics when i get the car.

My order was placed 9-28. SA build. Just yesterday, 11-10, it is "production complete, released to carrier" to go to port of exit from SA. It is supposed to be direct shipping from SA to US and Canada these days, but good luck finding out ship name or anything else. BMW really sucks at providing current, accurate info, whether you use the web, the 800 no., or talk to a human.

I know of owners getting ordered BMWs as quickly as 3 weeks. But when you see posters talking about 3 -4 month waits, believe it.

I have resolved to give up the notion that the more I check the 800# or website or ask my CA the faster it will come. I suppose we should all be happy if we get it before xmas right?

Beside, they know the've sold me a car, what do they care when I get it.

Well... just got off the phone with my CA... Apparently the factory made a mistake and instead of painting my car LeMans Blue they painted it Deep Sea Blue.

He said it still has the M sport package though so thank God for that. Not sure how I feel about the Deep Sea Blue. I asked him about when it would leave the port and he said next week but didn't have any firm info.

Wow. That is a big mistake. Normally I would say they could re-order one for you but i dont know if they are still producing the e90. also with such delays it would take forever. sounds like you will be due a nice discount for your trouble.

just reference, my sa build arrived at the dealer the other day, 11 weeks total.

Holy crap, I didn't think things like that could happen. I agree, that should be worth a hefty discount. IMO, the deep sea is a nice color, and it will be unique since they didn't offer that combo.

Yup, can't reorder and not sure I'd want to go through waiting again. The dealership said that I could have some BMW accessories or something but I'm not sure how much they're willing to spend on me. Not sure what to get.

I'm gonna ask for the base support system,the ski/snowboard carrier and floor mats. That comes out to about how much metallic paint cost so I think that's pretty reasonable.

mine arrived at the dealer finally last thursday november 10. thats a total of 11 weeks for mine as well.

I tried asking my SA yesterday, and he didn't know anything more than what my bmw says. Sounds like my wait is going to most likely be 3+ months.

Yeah mines had been sitting waiting for shipping for about a month. Hopefully yours get shipped soon.
