Just got staggered wheels, need help to go lower now please
Whats up everyone,
What would you all recommend suspension wise for a xi with 225/40/18F 35+ 255/35/18R 42+ i do have a staggered setup but i am running the safe measurements hopefully? I was thinking about Megan racing coilovers since KWV1 are about 1200$? Also if i decide to lower the car and possibly add 5-10mm spacers what would i need to add or change and is it safe? I am not really a suspension person so help on this would be greatly appreciated before i buy it next week. Thanks in advance Pics of my car and how she sits are up Last edited by SyL3nTFoRcE; 03-03-2013 at 08:31 AM.. |

There aren't many "cheap" suspension options for xi/x-drive. Generally speaking you get what you pay for with your suspension setup. I would recommend the V1's, but if you're really set on saving money you could cost out a spring and shock combo like eibach and koni's. Some people have put on only springs and hated it so I would avoid that. You can put on spacers with no problems.

i had spacers on my 19'' 3 cm on each side...they where rubbing but rear tyres are 275 and wheels are 9,5 ... Do not worry on 18'' it will not rub... Even if they do you cand adjust angle of your rear wheels to get "stanced" look

Honestly theres not too many options for our xi cars. I picked up a set of used kw v1's with 4k miles on them for 800. running a 9.5" rear tire with +30 offset then added a 10mm spacer and theres barely any rubbing, only on big dips. So i think youd be fine. I would recommend the kw's they are an excellent coil over

If you can afford it, go with the KW V3 setup because it's adjustable and rocks. I luved my setup.
Now it's time to lower my M3!

This is my before and after shot attached. H&R coilovers lowest setting. 19x10 +37 rear and I still have room for probably 15mm spacers.

out of curiosity, aside from kw suspension and h&r coilovers...who else makes coilover systems for the xi application?
