328xi Shifting Issues

Last night while coming home I did a couple quick accelerations up to 65mph or so, one in D the other in DS (I was comparing the butt dynos of D vs. DS ). After this, I came up to a stop sign, put it in M1 (steptronic transmission), started to creep forward to about 10mph as I prepared to accelerate, and the car started lurching and a yellow car on a jack popped up on dash. I pulled off to the side of the road, turned the car off, restarted it, and everything was fine.

Is this something I should be concerned about mechanically, or do you think it was just a blip?

Also, I know that the 328xi isn't built for the track, but how hard can we push these things, especially the xi models? IMO, the car should be able to handle a couple quick accelerations or kick-downs without lurching around and throwing errors.

True, I should consider doing that. I'm going to take it out again tomorrow and see if it still does it.
