you can read and read and read stuff, but nothing ever really shows you the point untill it's physically demonstrated to you. burns it in your head!!!

makes sense, was that your macro shot the other day of your beard shavings? the closer an object is, the narrower the DOF, so that would kinda work with perspective, stuff in row is closer so less DoF where further stuff gets the wider DoF

so that 1/3 to 2/3rds makes sense (at least that's how i've taken it in....)

interesting he brought up the 24-70 and how he only shoots it at 24 or 70mm

I never used the in between areas on my 24-70..... But i love the lens though. I just haven't really used it since i got my 16-35

I'm trying to complile a group of people interested in getting portaits done so i can get practice, and they get to be center of attention....

but so far, i have 3 people interested, but nobody has been available yet...
