Clay your windshield or i have seen some people buff it to remove water spots. That should get the streaks out. Definitely get new blades if they are old. I change mine every year and have no streaks.

Rainx is great but caused my blades to jump across the windshield for atleast one week of use.

It's very easy to put them on yourself. I did it in about 10 minutes. Just learn how to remove the wiper caps and reattach them to the new blades.
