PE Catback system
I have seen some photos of the complete performnace exhaust without the center muffler, there is actually a "Y"tube replacing it. can anyone help finidng its part number, i have been searching for it for some time now, even the agent downhere dont know anything about it. i also looked up realoem and found no change, the perfomance exahaust there is up to 06 and not LCI, they just put a note Quote: "replacement of the center muffler
for a new series-production replacement part may be required"

The 1st pipe looks like a secondary cat delete, which is not a factory option. Just take it to a muffler shop and have them replace the secondary cat with a straight pipe.
The 2nd pipe looks like a secondary cat AND muffler delete, also not a factory option. |

Y pipe on left in first pic is indeed part of the PE exhaust- at least it is for E92.
It replaces existing pipes AFTER the secondary cats and deletes the resonator. You cut the factory pipe about 6in after the cats and this pipe installs in between there and the muffler (it does NOT delete secondary cats) And now for the bad news- the different components in the PE exhaust are NOT available separately and they do not have individual part numbers only number is for entire system with all that is included. So there is no way to order the pipes or the muffler separately

i feel like you can if you can just get somebody to weld a Y section you could just get a muffler shop to do the rest... cheap PE lol. i wonder if the internals of the muffler (PE vs stock) are the same tho--but i doubt they are.

a little off topic but anyone know how much louder the exhaust would sound after a secondary cat delete. I have the PE with a res delete but would like to hear it more.
Coming from the AA exhaust this isn't as loud but does have a pleasing tone

Im sure if u have any issues with emission related parts bmw will void that part due to modifications but yeah most muffler shops wont tuch em if its required to pass emission testing .. If u want to get em removed i would just try a hole n thevwall shop... I kno it sounds sketchy but chances are they might do the work lol unless u kno welder
