Low beam headlights won't work, installed new d1s too!

D1S light bulbs finally came through, my right one works but the left one doesn't. the right one died after burning out, it turned purple but my left one just randomly died one day. I remember a month ago i took my car in for a car wash and it did get some condensation. Because of that my adaptive headlights stopped working. Do you think that could have something to do with it?

condensation will break your modules. i would go check if your ballast is fried or not. try switching the bulbs between the headlights. If one side doesn't work then you probably have to get a new ballast...

I switch the bulbs between the headlights, it didn't work. Does that mean my ballast is fried? I thought there was only ballast to power both the driver and passenger headlights, if thats the case wouldn't both my headlights not work ?

There's a ballast on each headlight, so you have two in total. It's the silver box thing on the side of the headlight.

Do either of the bulbs work in either headlight? If you try a bulb in both headlights with one that turns on and one that does, then the one that didn't turn on has a bad ballast. However, if neither turned on then it could be the bulb or the ballast. You need to be sure that a bulb is in working order to test for a bad ballast.

+1

Condensation will take out your ballast. Your d1s bulbs should be okay.
