Help Me With Iso Update

Hey guys, I'm stuck trying to do the ISO update. My problem is the HEX file. I can't use it. I can't open it. On terry's website, his Hex file icon looks different than mine. Mine is just a blank white file. His has some Icon on it.

Am I supposed to download some program to be able to use this file? Or what program am I supposed to use to open this file?

I need help!

HELP!!!

Hey guys, i was driving my car yesterday with the ISO HEXB firmware, and I got the half engine sign on the dash, these are the codes I red!

2C90
3106
28A0
2C57

Now I tired updating it to the HEXC firmware, and In map 0 once I stepped on the throttle I got the half engine warning again. Can anyone help?

You're not suppose to open any file, just download the hex file and look for it when you upload it in the interface. It will give you some warnings about G5 board.. just ignore that warning and upload it anyways. It should be as simple as just updating it.

You need to load it with the JB4 interface.

Hey guys, I think I did it. But now when I start up my engine, my RPM's dont move, but it seems like my engine is reving, like the turbo is spooling. Then dies down, also there is a loud clicky noise comming from the engine.

This isn't normal is it?

Probably had the wrong engine selected in the interface. Download most current interface, and retry, make sure and select the N55 in the drop down menu.

The latest interface you should be using is the 12/14 JB4 Interface found here

The latest HEX file you should be using is: N55_ISOB.hex available here

There is a dropdown on the last tab [SETTINGS] - make sure you select option 7 in the menu for N55 135/335 ISO.

Also, verify on the [USER ADJUSTMENT] tab the interface version and the firmware version.

IF the interface and version are correct, then verify your work - and MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL on your battery. 10mm socket needed.

Ok guys, first off thanks to madmanhiker! You were kinda correct. So Here is what happened. Originally I hadn't selected the correct engine. It was N54 instead of the 7)135/335 ISO. But when I uploaded the Hex file with the wrong engine selected, I didn't start the engine. I re-did it and selected Option 7. I did use the 12/14 firmware and the ISOB Hex file. I selected the correct port mine was 3. And did it over again. Does that sound like everything is right?

Aslo I didn't have to change any of the menu stuff, like lagfix and pid gain and the 3rd one i forgot what it was called. And I did disconnect my battery when cutting the diode. I disconnected the JB4 completely when doing that.

But when I do a cold start, like I said when the hood is open I can hear my turbo spooling a little like there is load on the engine, but once the RPM's go down it stops. Is this normal? I think I only notice it because my hood is open. I tried this twice.

I even drove my car last night and everything was working fine, no error messages in the dash. The car is noticeably faster than before, or at least the faster turbo spool is whats making it feel faster.

I emailed something similar to this to terry and he said "Sounds normal."
You guys think I'm safe?

Well before, the way you said it, it made it sounds like your RPM gauge wasnt moving. If everything is working and Terry says its normal, it probably is. If you want you can post a log here to show us. But now it sounds like everything is right.

And yes, it is normal for the turbo to be louder during a cold start.

Hey guys, last night I was driving my car in the cold. I was driving it for 15 min when I decided to do a couple pulls. The power was there but once I let off the throttle, my SES light started blinking. Then when I drove normal it went away. And after I got to where I was and left a few hours later, on my way home I did a lot of WOT in 2nd and 3rd gear and after the first 2 WOT I got the blinking SES light again, but it went away and I did maybe 6-7 more WOT pulls after that and the SES light didn't come on.

Would anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Don't even waste your gas doing pulls if you're not going to log and read codes. It's what I learned because that's what you have to do and send it to terry. I had that problem too but my car lost boost when the SES light came on and I had to restart it to boost high again. Terry will help you out send him some logs with codes.
