The M3 E90 could come true ! :)

Hi everyone,

Ive been looking for E90 335i M-Sport for the last few weeks and no sign of one. If there is one it costs £13k or £14k, but thats just way too expensive for 56 plate with around 60k miles !!! Its got a nice engine, otherwise its the same in every way as any other E90

Here are two M3s I am interested in at the moment, just £5k more expensive than 335i :
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

and
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

Both M3s for under £20k, thats a deal !!!

Got followed by a black e90 m3 along the a66 today, even the wife commented that it looked special (in a good way).

I think a well modded 335i isn't that far off a M3, and will be much better on MPG and an amazing Q car.

Still adding LSD/Uprated Antiroll bars/Downpipes/Uprated intercooler/remap to a 335i will set you back £4-5K (well thats how much it's cost me anyways), which is money your never see back where as a M3 will always be worth more than a 335i.

So if you want the best go and buy a M3 (I would have but wife said no ). But even if you settle for "just" a 335i its still a fab car .

That last one is a bargain, and if it had been for sale a month ago I would have had it...

Yes, excatly.

Also I have problems with my wife to buy a M3 lol ! She is not into cars at all, I mean 0% haha so its hard but I keep telling - the M3 is a 4-door car, excatly the same as our 320d - big boot etc etc lol The fact that M3 is Insurance Group 20 and Tax Band 'M' (£420 per year) kills it all. Also in reality it does under 20mpg combined Oooops !!!

335i is not a big deal, but my wife hates when money is put into car eg. wheels, lights etc etc... Nightmare lol... If we get M3 love I will not buy any parts I promisse, it has it all hahaha Lets hope it will be a M3 E90 !

They are tempting, a lot of car for the money - shame about the VED and mpg.

Found this when looking - E30 M3 up at £55k at Trainer BMW

LMAO

I hate when people put fake badges on a car. By all means stick a bodykit on a car and the wheels and whatever else you like - lets face it the car looks better with an M3 kit on it. But the badge is just wholly unnecessary - it's not 'modding', its just lying! It means the difference between just making your car look better with parts from a different car, and just out and out trying to deceive people into thinking you have a different car

rant over

That's what I was thinking. I would just put other 5k and get the m3 you want. And do a rear lci conversion.

One day I will have something powerful like a m3. Just need to get older so I can get cheap insurance.

But some people say if you can afford a car like that then you can afford the insurance. I can get the car but then no insurance lool

To the OP.

Just a word of warning, the links you posted to Autotrader give away your postcode.
Unfortunately in todays society, not everyone that views these sites are as honest as most.

I'd revise the links so you don't see your postcode once clicked.

Nice cars though, good luck with your potential purchase.

Not dictate, but certainly have an input. The point of me getting rid of old car (350Z) was so that I buy something she would be happy drive from time to time. She wasn't happy to drive a M3 alone, felt it would attract too much attention, and I agreeded. She wanted me to buy a Golf GTD, so the 335i was a nice comprimise

I'd maybe discuss the financial and practical side (ie if you have kids etc) but other than that I'd be choosing what I wanted to drive.

I remember my better half moaning about the golf VR6 I bought 12 years ago, after 2 days I couldn't get her out of the bloody thing, she loved it!

Plus if she ain't happy to drive an M3 it's all the more reason to get one
