GP 8500 help...

I'm trying to install my GP Thunders, but getting the bulb in there seems impossible! The hole in tiny, and my hand might be a tad too big, although, my fingers are lanky. I've been going at this thing for 15 mins and it's driving me nuts! I got a couple minor scratches on the bulb, are they gonna suck now ? I read the DIY write ups.. Any tips would be appreciated !!

lol

you know what works. get those disposable rubber gloves so you can touch the bulb if you need to. i just used two fingers to hold the bulb like you're holding a cigarette and kind of got jiggy wid it till you could reach the socket and bam it was in. in my opinion, worrying about touching the bulb is what gave me a hard time getting them in. But after putting on the gloves, it was a piece of cake. but what the hell do i know, my car is stock.

That glove idea is one of the reasons I love this forum.

I am also having issues installing GPs in my E93, and maybe this will help.

I agree they are a pain in the ass. +1 for taking a breather and coming back to it after a while. That's what I did. I should have thought up the glove idea - probably would have saved a lot of frustration!!!
