Sap removal tips?

Got a number of pine sap drips/runs on the rear half of my car from parking in the wrong spot

Anybody have any tips on removing it before washing? Or should I just go ahead and wash?

Washing won't remove pine sap. Soak a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and lightly rub it off.

Use a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol/water mix. Easy to find and works great. Lots of detailers use IPA to wipe down cars after polishing. I will not harm the paint. Be sure to wax the area.

Thanks, I have 70% iso at home so I'll just add another 40-45% water I guess

Do I do that before or after washing?

I don't have anywhere to wash, nevermind hot shampoo. I'd just be taking it to the touchless wash and addressing the sap myself
