How about those of us who are still running V3.2 Rev.I non-canbus? Are there ever going to be any official maps or are we screwed and stuck with the 2-19 beta?
TIA

So these new maps are more aggressive down low than the previous CANbus maps...I am speaking of MAP 1 and not the race gas one...I find the beta map pretty strong down low already and you guys that have tried this new map is saying there is MORE!?

These maps are a BIG improvement to the Beta Canbus ones!
I just put on over 100 miles tonight and was impressed with the consistency and torque. My timing data logs look better than ever and the power curve is abundant and consistent and goes down real low for us torque junkies. This man is not just playing with Boost fellas! I see significant improvements to the timing curve. Nicely integrated.......feels and sounds just like a V8 should. (what's that you say?.....twin what?) |

I'd like to vote for going back to dedicated pump gas and race gas maps. I'd much rather have two maps I can adjust on pump gas. I'm willing to bet that only a small minority run race gas at all and only an extremely small percent of the time when they do. I think having Map 2 as a race gas map takes away a major feature of the PROcede by limiting us to only one map on pump gas. Thanks.

The map1=map2 maps would also be more useful to me. |

I am sure Shiv will accomodate us shortly.
I think he always likes to get the race maps out in the first release, then he reposts again with Map 1=Map 2 so that we can customize our regular pump gas maps. |

Same here. We do not have race gas (or at least I don't know where I could get it). That means, that I can use only one map. I prefer having two maps that I can adjust: one for daily driving and one, with higher UT settings, for racing.
And what about different stages? Same rules as before? DPs, DCI, DVs, Scoops = stage 1 as I'm not completely catless? Or I should raise UT a bit on stage 1 map?

everytime i see shiv's post like this, it makes me dizzy... maybe it's because i haven't tried procede yet and have no idea what he's talking about...
is new auto-tuning feature going to be included to my procede order? i have no idea when you will actually be able to ship that out but if it is possible, i'd like it to be the latest...??? |

I believe that the race gas maps should be in different files than the pump gas ones.
There is a lot of people that uses map1 & map2 in different settings to accomodate different needs depending on the driving conditions.

These maps are definitely smoother and more consistent. The big torque down low and the lack of lag are still the same but for some reason my butt dyno is telling me that the BETA map ran a little closer to the knock limit so they seem to have a slight power advantage... could be just me...any comments Shiv?
Edit After a 1hr drive the I would say these new maps are better than the Beta, though not sure they are stronger. Much smoother in the various transitions throughout the RPM range and when shifting gears at regular speeds. I will dyno both and see what come up. Better performance when IATs are high. Smoother in VANOS switchover range 4200-4500rpm range. Slightly improved fuel economy. Less top end roll off (for 6ATs). A few other minor things as well. You will probably like it more shiv I guess I can understand if the hardware doesn't support them, but if these are upgrades that can be made to the software/tuning I would like to think they would be available to Rev I owners. |

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and... Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten? Nigel Tufnel: Exactly. Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder? Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? Marty DiBergi: I don't know. Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven. Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder. Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder? Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven. |
