Horrible Time Slips
I sent my JBD in to be tested as I have horrible 1/4 and 1/8 mile times with it installed. Not sure if it was bad or what, but Terry said "I noticed it had an older chip so I updated that. Tests out OK now. We'll get it back out today". This was Friday. So I am hoping my JBD wasn't functioning properly.
Notice that even with a 2.0 60', I still ran a 14.x @ under 100mph. Am I the only one that sees a problem here? These are the slips from the 1/8 mile track on October 10th. 70 degrees. JBD @ 100% These are the slips from the 1/4 mile track on August 31st. 88 degrees. JBD @ 100% |

8.8 and ~82 mph on the 1/8 is ok, but 100 mph on the 1/4 is too low.
I have always 104-105 mph on the 1/4. My worst time was 13.65 104 (88f) and my best was 13.11 @ 105 (66f) My time are all between that and the temp dont have a big effect on my time with this car... Very consistant run after run . |

Did you notice a difference? I was only trapping 100mph in the 1/4mi with 100% JBD. I bought mine back in August of 2012.

I think it's actually slower than it was. I now tie with a friend who I used to beat pretty good. It's a stock 2003 M3 convertible. So heavy with 330HP.

Did any of you start having these problems after the EGR recall? Also, it seems our engines have varying performance depending on the DPF restriction. See my other post below:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=42 Also realize heat soak, warmer temps seem to kill performance. For best results you want to be running below 65F or so ambient temps.
