It depends, the handling may be slightly different, perhaps in a better way. You can go the cheap route and buy springs, which will keep your stock struts, or you can get coil overs and fork up the extra $$$$.

I also just picked up a 328i Sport and keep reading good things about Koni yellows and H&R sport springs..
Semi wallet friendly, Supposedly as smooth as stock sport suspension and looks pretty damn nice. Under $1000 - http://hpashop.com/HPA-Stage-1-E82-E...on-e82-e9x.htm
