tune2air if you want to have steering wheel control for music (doesn't need iphone, needs iphone cable tho)

blackberry gateway if you just want a solid streaming option that should sync every time you get in

I have the cheap mpow off amazon, it works ok but I need to open the arm rest and hold a button before I can sync to my phone every time I want to use it. That kinda sucks, might pony up the $80 for the blackberry bluetooth gateway soon.

yeah, aux.

the phone streams, and sends to the dongle via bluetooth. dongle is plugged into aux, which is what you tune your stereo to hear it.

Not that I know of. You can load MP3 onto a USB memory stick and play them, but I don't think you can stream bluetooth to a USB dongle.

There is a USB BT adapter that looks like a mass storage device ->

http://www.naxa.com/wireless-receiver-adapter.html
http://www.naxa.com/wireless-receive.../nab-4003.html

It costs about $15 on Amazon.
Just pair for audio and don't do phone/phonebook. It will slow the device down and you will get skips.

IT works fine with my phone.

The blackberry music gateway works great. Had mine for a little over a year. Pairs automatically 95% of the time and music quality is good. Also plays navigation direction over car speakers when using an app like waze. I highly recommend it.

I have an 08 335i and I use the ViseeO WMA300B:
http://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-WMA3000...words=wma3000b

It is important that you get this model if you want to have steering wheel controls for your phone. I have an iPhone 6plus and the ViseeO works perfectly for it. It automatically connects when I get in the car and does not interfere with my Navi Communication. If I get a call, it switches from music over to communication and then back. It also displays the names of all the songs and albums on the HUD weather I'm playing from mp3 or Pandora & Spotify. Its a pricy item but it's the only product I would buy. It's priceless not having to look at your phone everytime you want to change a track....
