iDrive Touch Retrofit for E92?

I'm curious to hear if there is a way to retrofit iDrive Touch into an E92 that has regular iDrive installed.

Not sure if this would even be a viable software / hardware upgrade, or if the E92's hardware is incompatible (and maybe even too slow) for something like that.

Does anyone know anything specific / definite about this?

Asked bimmertech about this...so far, no retrofit available for the e9x platform. They are, however, working on the f30 retrofit

I found a company in Korea.
They were selling a skin which goes on to CID (display) and it converts your CIC to touch system.
Can't find the link now.
If you search, I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

Near impossible via "OEM" kind of way due to E-series CIC software limitations and comm-protocols incompatibilities wih F-series.
However in non-OEM way it is possible, if add third party hardware with microprocessor control, etc.

I was wondering the same exact thing! If there were a retrofit of the fatter touch knob for the E90.

On eBay Taiwan I saw a fatter (touch style) knob that replaces the small (non-touch style) knob. It just replaces the knob and nothing else.

The replacement knob will light up with the dash ambient orange lighting BUT it does not provide any touch function.

I really like that is gives the car the updated look of the new fatter touch iDrive but it seems to only be for the F series iDrive vehicles and not the E series CIC/iDrive.

My question for you guys is:

Isn't it the SAME CONTROLLER KNOB between the iDrive on the E90 LCI and the F30 between the 2009 to 2013 years????

Pictures and Link below:

They call it:
"Replacement Bigger Multimedia Audio Knob Fits BMW F20 F30 F32 F33 F34 F10"
