Thinking about buying an e90. need some advice
Hi,
I'm thinking about upgrading from my old e46. I've been looking at a e92 2008 335i with 40k miles for $26k or a 2009 328i sedan with 40k miles and same price. the sedan is cpo and has warranty and the 335i does not so i'm leaning towards the 328i. Also neither car comes with usb so should i pay the dealer $500 to install the ipod adapter or is there an aftermarket alternative? Thanks |

Without CPO, if the car was ragged in the past I wouldn't do it. |

Of course it all depends on your needs and what you like in a car. If you can afford a 335i, then go for it. Just don't jump into the first one you find. I strongly suggest it is CPO.
After having two 5-series with the small engine, I was more than ready for a "power" upgrade! |

Go drive one. The 335i is IMHO sooo much more fun than the 328i especially once you add a tune. I'm not convinced you need a CPO; I'd get a PPI done and if it checks out put the money you've saved in a savings account and use it if it becomes necessary... but then again YMMV.

I would look into 06 330i coming from E46 like I did. You still have the inline 6 reliability. N52's are very good. On E90's only real difference is the electric water pump and thermostat setup thats kinda sketchy.

My first test drive was a 328i... second was a 335i... needless to say for me as soon as I left the lot and hit the gas I new what I was going to purchase and very glad I decided on the 335. I just had my 335 in for service and had a 2011 328i loaner and missed the extra 'giddy up' that my 335 offers. Drive them both if you havent already then decide. If the cpo is important to you then go for the 328 or keep looking for that 335 with a cpo. It took me 6 months to find the right one with everything I was looking for. In the end it all comes down to what you feel works for you and what you'll be happy with.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=689305 I'm selling my 2008 328i and it comes with low mileage (less than 35,000 miles) and a lot of extras. Check it out I have a lot of pictures.
