Pop open the hood and there should be a sticker that says BMW Performance Kit.

As for the software, pretty sure none of us got the correct BMW Apps S/W, but I believe the Performance S/W IS loaded.

That sucks dude...guess a few more weeks won't hurt though eh

i think the jerez black ones were messed up...the ruby black ones seem to be ok. the dealer kept that one and bmw only took jerez black cars back to the port.

Like what gives BMW? I'm surprised that Halifax has to install the kit and now the German factory.

they mentioned 2 weeks. so im guessing by Nov 4th if not earlier.

I'm in the same boat. Probably a week or less after you. Is anyone working on a discount, some compensation for delay?

That means how many days/weeks of delay??? When we say "port" is it really THE port??? Which means for me my car would be sent from halifax to montreal/toronto/vancouver, back to halifax, back to montreal/toronto/vancouver???

And when I signed it was due between mid-september and the beginning of october...

Same here. In my case, I had to turn over my last car. So now I'm driving one of theirs for now a month+ because of the delay. The only upside is that I'm going anywhere from 4-6 weeks without any car/insurance payment.

Mine is a jerez black and I have the kit installed with the sticker in the engine and all, but I've said it before, it doesn't 'feel' faster than a n54 335i.

Surprised they don't just reflash it at the dealer, the power kit is just an engine software mod.

I too think it's total BS that these cars aren't leaving the factory IN GERMANY with all the mods done. I certainly got that impression when I ordered the car, and now it sounds like some dockworkers in Halifax are going to be installing the Power Kit.

I don't know exactly how we can justify compensation for this, but I certainly FEEL like I deserve some kind of compensation.

IM not familiar with the clutch/brakes warranty. Is it together or separate? I don't really see the need for extended warranty on the brakes. I've had an e90 335i for 3 years now and I haven't ever had an issue with brakes. Not to say that it can't happen but I think its low risk. Maybe clutch if you are driving aggressively a lot. I did pick up the wheel and tire warranty though. I've bent 19" wheels on my current e90. Roads in Toronto are hit or miss so even as careful as you can be sometimes you just can't avoid things. The prices for these wheels is pretty crazy unless you buy from Tischer etc. which is another hassle in itself because you will have to deal with customs etc. As for snows, don't buy them from the dealer. You will get ripped off. There are lots of shops that can get wheels/tires for you. Try speedstar. They are a great bunch to work with. I also wouldn't get runflats. The ride will be better and your tires will be cheaper.

Not entirely. These cars are supposed to have a stage 2. There is different hardware. I'm hoping that hardware was on right from factory and that "yes in halifax its just a software mod."

I hope they are not doing the hardware there.

I think the hardware comes preinstalled from the factory. Its at 'port' where the software gets installed. It would be silly for them to mount the exhaust, chairs, intake and trim from port.

Since i'm still in break-in mode at 1200 km, how do i know for sure if the right software is installed?

Also, did i miss the discussion on BMW apps? Do I have to buy the special adaptor plate for my iphone before this is available?

From what I understand, you do need to buy a special adapter for the iPhone for the BMW Apps to work...BUT the BMW Apps is not loaded.

This is confirmed, I was told by people at the dealership and their working on a fix.
