Road force balancing is the only way to go, especially for today’s low-profile high-performance tires.

This separate procedure puts your balanced wheel and tire under a load to simulate actual driving conditions. Variations in tire sidewall stiffness are noted, and electronically matched to variations in your wheel.

The tire is then rotated on your wheel and remounted for the best vibration-eliminating alignment of wheel and tire. The objective is to create a tire/wheel assembly that is as “round while rolling” as possible.

This process also detects rim "runout" and other wheel defects, which ordinary balancing cannot diagnose.

If you do search out a place with roadforce balancing, make sure they actually do it. I paid a premium for a place with a machine to do it. I watched through the glass as the guys did it and they didn't even use the roadforce function of the machine

I haven't take my car to the highway yet... but it's better than RFT on local roads... I'll wait after BMFest to see if I'll get it done.
