But that's the problem. In Europe if the dealer can see the unit has been tuned (and they can, even if you remove the map with a programmer) then they will wipe their hands of it.

We don't have the same protection as you guys!!

And we have to pay for our servicing too, its not free like in the US.

1st post

Hi all,

so far I've just enjoyed reading this forum, but now decided to join so I can share my thoughts if I ever had any worth sharing..

Currently driving a 330d Xdrive LCI.. Only had it for 3 days, and yes, loving the diesel power!! Stock for now...

PS. Waiting for it to snow here in Southern Finland. Had a blast last winter with a 325xi

Cheers,
J

I've seen them. I was under the impression you didn't use them though as you have a lease car. Is that correct?

Did they say they could do 305bhp?

Thanks for your feedback.

So cosmetically im getting tired, been looking at options for a dual outlet exhaust (same as the 335i)

should i get my exhaust system re-routed to have both outlets working or is one outlet + false outlet enough to get me by...

We sure are a quiet bunch us 330d owners.. or there's only a handful..

So far no performance mods in mind..

First up is a coilover set after the winter if I can ease my mind on the warranty issues.. Reading all I can on the matter and trying to get some info on finnish xDrives that have been lowered while still under warranty, and if something went wrong, how were they treated...

Correct, the car remains stock. Yes, they quoted around the 305hp mark.

hi there,

am driving a 330 xd lci model with stock 245bhp and 520 torque.
installed a customized powerbox and now hitting the 295 with torque of 620.

can tell you, it's amazing

If you they would've delivered the car like that, just like audi does with their ABT tuning.

Hi,

must feel great.. Little OT, friend did some MTM- magic on his b8 3.0tdi and the difference is quite big, also 300hp and 600NM

Would love to do the same, but as I'm still under warranty, I don't want to poke around in the engineroom And, so far, the stock power gives me a smile everytime I hit it!

Cheers,
J

Regarding warranty......with the powerbox, it will not change any values so you'll be safe. Ofcourse, this depends on how 'heavy' you've customized the box.
If you still stay in the safe zone, no worry at all.

Just make sure you unplug it before going to the dealer, have you services done, then plug it back in

Cheers.

Need to look into this and think about it.. But my first thing to do after the winter is to lower the thing To me, the power is fine now but the height is just not ok. I already looked at and lived with an XI for almost two years with stock suspension For the winters such as last year, though, I can't complain!

Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to take a few pics and post them up for you guys to see...

Quite rare to see another 330d on the roads here in Australia, most are sedans too.
Yeah I don't get this either...
I'm loosely affiliated with a tuning company in Menai Sydney South West - "Pulse Racing", who do alot of Jap stuff and with them I did my project Subaru H6 Biturbo(see Youtube channel below). They are doing alot more Euro stuff more recently mainly late model VAG stuff - I will make enquiries about what they can do for BMWs if anything...

If they are able to shed any light on how our fmic compares to the fmic on the 335i, please share your findings. In the U.S., we are attempting to understand whether or not the options for 335i fmic's might work for our 335d's. Thanks for any info you can share!

He said its difficult to say without visually seeing them both to compare. I wonder does the BMW Performance upgrade package for the 335i include a bigger FMIC? Anyhow, I've I guess we'll have some answers shortly.

As far as the 330d in about two-three weeks we should have a better idea of what Paul @ Pulse Racing can do. Again I shall keep updating this forum topic with any developments in this regard.

Personally I wouldn't get a car remaped without having a dyno result of before AND after.

308hp.. sure if its a later model 245hp stock version, otherwise I think there just throwing numbers to lure you

They are saying its the 2006 330D. Its based on there own test car. I'm dubious about the claimed figures so will definately be having a Dyno run from an independent source (not the company doing the remap!!). The remap on Monday is now off as I have to work!!
