We talked about this months ago, but never did anything about it. So props to the guys in Europe who posted that information as it opened up a whole new world for the AT cars.

BTW... There is one other flash within GKE215 from 2011. Not sure if this flash is for the newer model AT cars, but we really haven't had a newer model car to play with. If someone has a late model 08 or 09 AT with paddles, it might be a good idea to try this. I gave Cn555ic the information about this so we just need to test it. Worst case is we have to flash again. Most cars have 60+ flashes left so it's not like you can re-Flash.

Enjoy!!!!
thats probably latest OEM trans flash which works much better that the old one.

No doubt...and he spent WAY more than I have.

i just flashed mine

04/08

m3 paddles still work

all seemed fine until i got a hard shift (might've been a misfire) and reduced power into 3rd (medium throttle, but on boost). i'm going to chalk it up to an adaptation issue or coincidence since it never happened again.

Thanks for the update!
Mine also had something wonky at the very first WOT full power shift then never again.
I agree it seems like an adaptation.
Lets hear from some more late production 2008 cars.

ah glad to hear it's not just me

i'll research how to reset the adaptations with inpa for the hell of it. i would have assumed flashing new firmware would have reset everything though, but i'm not authority on how this works. i just follow directions well

Just so you know, we have no clue how this will react or if it will improve your shifting like the Alpina code. This is just an assumption. Hopefully we can capture your current assembly number prior so if we need to we can flash it back.

when you go into inpa you can choose the transmission instead of the ecu . thats where you reset the codes.

Argh, 2009, with prod. date 2008-10-02.

Not sure I can go without paddles though. While I rarely use for daily driving, I have a track day coming up in April and I just don't relish having to flash back and forth, as I know i'll want the paddles for the track day.

again just flash and see. it is still not clear when paddles stop working. also either reflash the CIC module or check with ncsexpert coding paddle on.

To EVERYBODY just try to flash and see........ at least we can gather info on year model and find a solution.

thanks saw that earlier. was wondering if people were resetting engine adaptations as well (which may account for mine going into reduced power mode on the first drive)

We should probably setup a separate comments thread on the reflashed TCU feedback.

I did a few WOT pulls today in S and M modes. No reduced power errors for me. Everything was fine.

My paddles are working. Everything seems fine.

Nice..

Wedge mentioned another flash in the 215 file from 2011, has any tried that yet and if not what is the zb number. Thanks. And can someone also pit a print screen up of all the codes you get after the flash to ensure things are consistent and not to scare anyone and they know they did the flash right.

Now if you could just figure out how to make it work on the pre 03/07's we would all be happy.

This is F'n unreal guys. We have fixed the upgraded turbo shift issue. We have fixed the flatline after shift issue. We have quicker shifting. We can now down shift quicker without restrictions. Someone said it also effected traction control and made it more drivable without as much nanny intervention. We now have a fix for the late model car paddles. FTW This is some SICK $hit....

But, as wonderful as all of this is, I know a lot of you guys have ran out and bought cables, and that's great. But, if you're laptop is crap or if you screw up the software install and you try to flash your car you will be walking until you get a different laptop or fix your software. We will try to help you as much as possible if you break your car.

This truly is a game changer for the AT community. cn555ic and myself take great pride in the work we have done and thank those who posted the numbers that made this all possible.
