You should probaby rephrase the request. If you ever had a warranty claim denied please describe the circumstances.

Anyone who gets their "warranty voided" is sort of slow IMO
when I was dealer hunting to fix a major problem in my car and they requested to "have a field engineer" check it out I was real quick to decline lol finally found a few good dealers around here that get stuff done

I'm coming up to the big 50k.
I'm thinking of getting the extended but there's a part of me that's happy about never going back to the dealer again.

50k on a car that fast is a testimony to good freaking hardware. Other than the fuel pumps, I do think these cars are pretty freaking tough.

A) People who purchased Dinan software B) People who have an M3 Honestly If you still want your warranty just take off your JB before going in for service and make sure you put it back together correclty.. Edit : also get to know your ECU software and its limitations.... |

Actually, 3rd party warranties are more expensive than the BMW warranties since the dealers are hurting so bad right now. The only thing that I am concerned about is the engine, turbos and fuel pump. Everything else, I'm confident that I can fix myself. I've already worked on the suspension (including tension links, springs, shocks, and sway bars), brakes, and full exhaust.

Your warranty does not get voided. You can be "denied" warranty work due to modifications. If you get denied a warranty for say a turbo, due to modifications, that does not mean all the other parts on the car are not covered by the warranty.

But my car has 28k miles so maybe that explains the difference. I looked at "warranty direct" or something like that. might be worth a look. What's nice is that you can take it to ANY shop. Soo if you are modded, most indy shops will probably take your side. They also pay the shop DIRECT with their company credit card, rather than you pay first and they re-imburse. |

Of those 50k, how many have you been running a tune? Just curious, would be pretty impressive if you've been going that long with a tune.

if you get your warranty voided, you have to pretty ignorant. make sure its back to stock engine wise, and you should be good unless you have a dick dealer. once you are in the system tho, it is shared with BMW Corporate so any dealer you go to will know...
