OEM Sport springs from 335i to 335xi... DROPPED content

Hey guys,

I added 18" staggered setup to my 2008 335xi coupe last week. Anyways I am not the type that is crazed with the need to lower, and honestly I could totally live with how the rear looked. However, the front is just so damn high its mindboggling.

I am not looking to do coilovers, and don't even want to do shocks..

My question - If I added OEM sport springs from an e90/e92 ... would that get me lower then the ones I have now?

I am not looking for a crazy drop and the rear height I can live with, but trying to get the front a bit lower in the most economical fashion since I am not wanting a crazy drop, or increased handling, etc.

Try spring perches for the front.

i sport springs will lower the vehicle, likely closer to .75" as the xi sits higher than the i

Will it cause any issues? (to run i springs on xi). Does the rear springs need to be replaced?

I think you need to change all 4 springs... at least I would think.

now the e90 and e92 springs are interchangeable.

My question is the i sport and regular i springs are different or no?

Also, I would assume changing to the i springs, i do not need to change shocks like if I added h&r sport springs.. I mean I can, but its not going to mess with the ride like h&rs would because its OEM, right?

can anyone confirm my last couple questions??? I am ready to go

Is there a difference between sport package e90 and e92 springs and NON sport pkg?

With changing to OEM i springs I do NOT need to change shocks like I was doing h&r?

Conclusion?

Boostin335,

So did you ever pull the trigger on this swap? I was thinking of doing the same and this is the only thread I've been able to find. If yes; how's the ride & the drop? If no; what was your reasoning?

Are i sport springs the oem springs that come with the sport package? Or are they the BMW performance springs?
