Thanks Citizen and yeah go for it, you can always remove it easily enough if you don't like it. I wanted a little contrast as my car is black and thought it would look good matched to the carbon CSL style boot but its not quite the same so might change it if I can find the right carbon look vinyl. I'm going to do the plastic strip at the top of the diffuser/bottom of the bumper too when I get a chance

Loving that diffuser have you got any more pics? where did you get it from? was it a good fit?

I'am looking at getting a 335i, and would definitely like to add a nice rear diffuser and would look at wrapping the silver trim on the interior as its a bit scratched.

Thanks smokey, it's a BMW performance diffuser available direct from BMW although you can get copies on eBay etc. Fitment is excellent although I can't vouch for the copies.
Here's a couple of quick phone pics for you, excuse the dirty car ...

Very nice, thanks for info and pics.

Just googled it, and it doesn't seem too pricey. Nice. I assume it doesn't come painted?

About time I updated this, so here's a few more pics. Plenty of maintenance done with a new thermostat, oil level sensor, oil change and red stuff ceramic pads fitted to the rear being the main things. Mods are new summer wheels thanks to James (R99) on this forum and lowered on H&R sport springs. Wheels are staggered BBS CX-R in diamond cut and anthracite finish. I've also fitted the cheap exhaust valve remote switch from the tutorial on this forum and looking at flashing the gearbox with the Alpina B3 flash next.

I thought I recognised them! Looking great.

How are you finding the car to drive? Is it your daily driver? You may have seen from my recent thread that I'm moving on from my 320d and looking at a couple of options including a pre-LCI 335i.

Thanks Citizenkane. Yes it's my daily and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it to be honest.
If a 335i is the right car for your budget and needs etc I say go for it, you won't regret it.

I thought paying £500 a year road tax was bad enough, never mind €1500 a year for a 2006/7 or €1200 for a 2008 onwards that'd get boring very quickly as well as all the maintenance & repair costs.
But if you've only got your cock to keep & plenty of disposable income then why not.
Even after 5 years of ownership my 35i always puts a smile on my face when I drive it

They suit the car really well and are not something you see everyday, but R99 had them on his old e91 so credit to him on the selection.
I still have the LM reps and they will be used as winter wheels now. I do like the LM's but they don't suit the car as well as these

Gorgeous!!

I read through and didn't see you come back with an answer on the CSL boot... did you ever find out the maker? It's difficult to tell, but it looks to be somewhere in between the Challenge GT and the Vorsteiner. I need it!

I never found out what brand it is. The previous owner bought it off eBay and wasn't sure on the brand either so not sure if it was new or second hand. It's carbon fibre with a fibreglass inner skin that is finished in matt black so not sure if that helps in determining the brand at all?

Agreed, the wheels look way better than the previous ones (although I must admit I'm not a fan of the style of the previous ones generally).

What's next on the cards? Maybe a front lip? It's possibly overdone, but IMO an Arkym front lip would look great and would complete the car.

I'd love a front lip but at the moment I'm letting the springs settle and seeing how much I take off the front bumper with the sh*t roads around here
I'd like some LCI rear lights, M3 mirrors and M3 side skirts too for cosmetics. Performance wise I'm looking at the alpina gearbox tune, vented brake discs, red stuff pads upfront to match the rear(at the moment I have thousands of miles left on the current pads) and an oil catch can but it's already got a JB4, vrsf intercooler, vrsf downpipes, vrsf DCI, uprated charge pipe and forge diverter valves.

Just a quick update of the winter setup. Nothing else done to the car of note yet although I've got some Focal speakers waiting to be fitted.

Looks fantastic on the black wheels. I’m not normally a fan of black wheels but with a contrasting lip they do look really good.

Great to see a car develop over time like this and I love the way that FMIC is peeking out from behind the lower grilles!

Thanks. The wheels are actually a dark gunmetal but I went a bit too dark on the colour and they do just look black from every angle

Car looks great mate.

I notice on one of the earlier pictures, you have the same problem as me, with the front bumper hanging down underneath. Does this annoy you? It does me, was looking at sorting it out soon. I assume its botched to fit the Intercooler.
