Free 4/50 maintenance
I'm reading here that oil changes and wiper blades are just about the only things to get free.
How about air filters, cabin filters, brakes, brake fluid flush, spark plugs...? Anything else? |

When did you get an 08 335? Has it ever been serviced?

For 4 years or 50K miles, most everything is covered unless you screw something up yourself. Brakes, brake fluid flush, air filters, and whatnot are all covered. Plugs are 100K miles, so no.

Request a cabin filter change. My BMW center did a brake fluid flush, cabin filter change back in April without hesitation..

In reading the replies it seems you get a nice amount of maintenance free.
I know it''s the cost of the vehicle but I did get $10K off the sticker so I'm pretty happy. However, the fuel pump issue has me on edge a bit. |

Congrats on a great deal, and hopefully someone will figure out what is the deal with these HPFP and get it fixed otherwise I would only lease a 335 and not own it. Just my opinion.

I'd expect the car to be coming up for its first service if it didnt just get its oil changed prior to leaving the dealer. Isn't it 1yr or 15k?

I have heard this alot on the forum about getting oil change once a year. This is where I get so confused. The dealer and SA I used does not do anything to my car until the computer tells them it is time for service. and there is no mention of "you get 1 oil change a year" when I purchased my e90 back in 05 (must be a new thing starting with 06). That is like 4 free oil change if you don't drive that often in 4 years.

Thanks BK, but it is too late for me and there is no need to cry over spilled milk. But I will give an example for those interested in my case. In the first year, I racked up say 16K miles. Computer say I have 5K miles left before oil change. I read on here that you can get oil service after 1 year. I bring car in and SA said no oil service because computer indicates 5k more miles. I did not make a fuss out of it because I did my own DIY oil service at roughly 9K miles. At that time, I did not have the SIB from your post or I would have brought it up. To sum it up, I basically got 2 free oil change from my free maintenance as far as the oil is concerned.
