$500 over invoice for ED?

Based on posts about the e90, it seems that we should expect that eventually once the "newness" of the e92 335 wears off, we should expect ED to happen at $500 over invoice. Any thoughts on when a buyer would have to wait until to get $500 over invoice for ED?

We're trying to sponsor this forum (as soon as Mark gets a sponsor package to me), and we'll take care of everyone from e90 Post

I'm not going to advertise anything till the sponsorship is official.

Dude there are people getting $700-800 over invoice already. I think that if you look around for a bit, you can get it for $500-600 over ED invoice.

Where are you seeing $700 - $800 over invoice? I'm hearing of $700 - 800 BELOW MSRP, which is different entirely. Would appreciate a link or a dealer name. If there's $700-800 over invoice available now, I'm ready to write a check...

I am not sure what's going up in the Bay area but I was talking to my CA earlier (here in So Cal) and he told me that he'd open a So Cal Group Buy for European Delivery with $1250 over ED Invoice (if we get more people he might even go lower than that) so if anyone is interested send me a PM so we can get another group going...

Wholesale : $46,046.40 (includes tax and destination)

I heard once that there is another 'dealer' price... a price below wholesale or possibly a volume unit 'rebate' given to a dealer... if anyone has some insight I would be interested to know. A silly person like me who is interested in getting hands on this car as soon as it is released I imagine my barganing room is limited to none (as told) but it would be nice to know what I am sacrificing to get the car before the NJ winter hits vs waiting for spring....

You are talking about "advantage money" and I don't know of ANY dealer that would consider giving it up. It is based on the dealer's CSI .......which is related to that survey all you guys get after the sale. Its basically holdback and it is a function of quality assurance.

Sorry this might sound like a really stupid question but the invoice is 37,350 right?? So when bobnaz says he got $1500 over invoice that means he got the 335i $38,850 right??

Sorry im just trying to gain some knowledge about car buying before I go buy my 335i

Correct. Take the base invoice, add the options you want and add $1500. Don't forget about doc fees, dest/handling ,tax and licensing fee. 2 dealers turned it down here. You could do better I'm sure. Good luck

Ok cool. The first time I went to a BMW dealership to buy a 330i the dealer didn't give me any kind of discount on the 330i. I was about to pay full MSRP. Then I heard the 335i was coming out so decided to wait. Maybe I should do some negotiating next time.

Thanks

Find the dealers in your area and e-mail them your price and phone # and let them know you can wait...see if they can.

Very few people have gotten a true $5-600 over invoice (euro. delivery). Perhaps with marked up MF and acquisition fee on lease and other fees, but not a true $500.

FYI, there's no CSI $ for factory delivery cars.

What is a "sales agent"? If you introduce a middleman into the process, like a broker or agent, the price will go up, not down.

When doing ED, does BMW make all the arrangements for Hotel and Air??

I haven't spoke to anyone from the dealership yet, so I'm a little confused about the whole process...

Can anyone shed some light??

There are substantial other threads here on the ED program.

You have to make your own travel arrangements.

$500 less than msrp

Called or emailed 8 dealers within 3 hours drive and that's the best i could get. None of them said they anticpate the 335i coming off MSRP in the near future.
