Okay tell me if this is expensive, $36K for 335i (coupe), base model. Is that too much but I'm not sure yet what I wanna get, coupe or sedan when I get out of deployment. Oh yeah, the $36K, is the military price in Germany.

Depending on the options, the military price is similar to ED wholesale + $1000 dealer profit. It's a good deal, and you get to drive the car in Germany longer than 6 months.

Ordering Help Needed
First I would like to say I have taken a lot from reading this forum. You guys have an obvious amount pride in the cars you drive.
We are loking to order our first BMW and have some questions that would help us in the process. Hope I can get some advise from the experts here. -Is is going to be difficult to negotiate when ordering a 2007 3 Seires when building to spec.? -Would you have greater leverage power if you can pay w/ cash thus becoming an in and out for the dealer? -I am assuming the more options the greater the chance of negotiation, as there would be a greater accural of profit for the dealer, I could be wrong. -What is the difference between the Invoice Price and the Wholesale price that is posted on this forum? -Would the 335 have a greater % of resale power over the 328, 4-5 years from now? -Can you trade in a non BMW at a dealer or would you have to sell on your own? -Is there a guidline into what would be considered a good deal? I know it's a lot of questions, but hoping I can get some Thanks |

Ed Wholesale Pricing
Hi, can anybody confirm that the ED wholesale price changed from what initially was posted ?. On the July 1st sheet was 34,360.00 , now my SA says BMW changed it at the end of July to 34,740.00. Can somebody confirm that my SA is just trying to get a few hundred more ?.
Thanks |

Trade in
No matter what car you trade at a dealer, they will strip you from the last penny. Actually they make more money on the trade than on the new car. I've got a full 6000+ selling on my own than trading.
Good luck. |

I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can:
-Is is going to be difficult to negotiate when ordering a 2007 3 Seires when building to spec.? I think getting a deal on buying a car that is hot and hasn't come out yet will be very hard, not to discourage you but the best I found was through the European Delivery program where the dealers are more willing to deal. -Would you have greater leverage power if you can pay w/ cash thus becoming an in and out for the dealer? I think they make $ off the financing too so paying cash prob won't do much good, but I could be wrong on this. -I am assuming the more options the greater the chance of negotiation, as there would be a greater accural of profit for the dealer, I could be wrong. I don't think it'll give you too much leverage but depending on how the pricing goes, the could make more with more options. My dealer is giving the options at european invoice price to me so he isn't making anything off them. -What is the difference between the Invoice Price and the Wholesale price that is posted on this forum? I thought they were the same.. but not sure. -Would the 335 have a greater % of resale power over the 328, 4-5 years from now? I would assume so but not sure again. -Can you trade in a non BMW at a dealer or would you have to sell on your own? You can trade any car in but you are much better off selling it to a private party... will get more for it. -Is there a guidline into what would be considered a good deal? I can truely say that it all depends! Quote:

Ordered a Montego Blue 335i, w/ Steptronic, Nav system, Premium package, heated seats, light poplar wood trim and creme beige leather. $48,095.00. Three dealers in Philly area would not budge from MSRP. Monthly lease with nothing down, 18k miles per year, including tax = $815.23 / month. September production schedule for late Sept. early Oct. delivery.
One question for all. I have until tomorrow afternoon to decide on Montego Blue or Monaco Blue. I've walked the dealer lots to see the interlagos blue on the M and the Monaco on everything else. Don't want to be a beacon on the road and also don't want to blend in with the rest of the dark blue cars. Any comments or suggestions where I can get a good look to compare? Everything on this site, including videos and stills are great, but nothing compares to the real thing. The coin is in the air..... |

Monaco Blue
PHOWK, I think Montego takes off the car's elegance. Unless you want to modified it so bad that looks like a fast & furious movie car, that Montego goes with that. But if you want a sporty elegant car, Monaco is the way to go, if you want something different, choose a interior combination not found often. Dont do cream beige, that is everywhere, as does gray. Brown will do nice, and balck would be radical.
I'm getting Monaco and Saddle, can't wait... |

If you want an elegant, but not sporty looking car, change the exterior to Monaco Blue and stay with Cream Beige leather. This combination is also recommended by BMW. Take a look at thread "(E92) Official Monaco Blue E92 Thread" and enjoy the pics of this combination.
